Tomac just killed it! Passing people back and fighting the whole way. The Jett and geiser battle was badass. This was one of the best races I’ve ever watched.
@theRooster722 .... what? Webb was 5th overall in MX2, against the best 250 riders in MXGP after not riding one for 8 years and zero time to test and had a top ten finish against both 450s and 250s.. he did far better than I imagined, it's a different world and mentality in the 250 class. I didn't think US would be on the box regardless of what Eli did, I figured we'd be 4th or 5th, so it was a great Des Nations for us given all the issues going in.
Was a great race!, Tomac was awesome, Geiser was really good and put in a Hero ride but pretty sure if we look at the overall weekend it confirms Jett is the best rider and would not say Tim is an even match up, Lap times will probably also confirm it but yes Tim going 1-1 is a solid ride at a track he is familiar with a good at.
@@defconone681god shut up about deegan he could have been there but he wasn't. Haiden will be fast enough to race De wolf and Lucas but not to beat or as disrespectful as you to say he'd do it no problem
It was the most exciting racing of the year in my opinion! Seeing Tomac pull that holey and then lead Gaisjer & Prado!!! Brilliant! And then there was Jett!!!
No way i thought jett was gonna push like he did with the MXoN wrapped up, him taking 3 seconds out of the top riders then passing Et and GOD DAMMMM his pass on tim was mind blowing haha.
Gajser was not faster. Yall forget Jett raced the open class and raced back to back motos with no rest, so by the end of the moto and having to make a comeback he didn’t have anything left.
Gather wasn't faster.. Jett came from 439th to first but let his guard down at the end when Tim latched onto him.. I'd like to see the lap times for the last 6 laps
@@danusually6189 gasjer was faster. jett came from 8th so not far and was in second by lap 3. gp guys are better. jett was pushing. watch the race. watch the highlights. he was making mistakes all the time. when gasjer caught him he tried to drop him but gasjer was running faster laps
Amazing racing. Thanks Hopper for your riding technique analysis. That’s what makes you special. You show us in slo mo what these athletes are doing to shave seconds off their lap times. Keep it up.
for those of us hurt by Jett loosing race 3 to four-time MXGP champ Tim Gajser... keep in mind Jett got no rest after race 2, where as Tim recouped for 2 hours. Jett had just pushed through from 8th to 1st, was tired and making rare mistakes. just saying.
Not to mention Gasjer had nothing to lose so went all out and threw everything into those last 2 corners. Weren't exactly battling on fair ground if you think about the situation
I told YOU Tomac was healed up, motivated and he is dialed in on that YZ. Sexton is not jellin with that KTM so who knew what he'd do. Webb and APE did awesome too. Great team.
Nobody's gelled on honda's pogo stick suspension until the kangaroo kid did. Ask Kenny. Ask Hymas. And Sexton couldn't finish a race without putting the Honda on the ground and picking it back up.
Australia and US 1/2 due to minimizing mistakes, and strategy. Netherlands, France and Spain should have done better with the talent and familiarity. Lawrence brothers got the smarts / maturity for their age 🇦🇺🇺🇸
To be fair, 26 points isn't a great winning tally. Hunter in MX1 *was* a poor choice. Gajser followed Jett on the inside (3rd to last corner), through that hooked rut, all but the final lap. He went outside and made half a second...Jett heard it too. Gajser gave it everything he had, and today, it was enough. 👏🏼Well done Tim Gajser👏🏼. Have to shout out Kay De Wolf for his 6-5 day. That's a fkn ripper of a day on a 250.
Someone said they put Hunter in there because he would have more time to recover between races since he's been fading in the second motos. I can see that.
....nor was Australia's score to beat England to win the Rugby Union World Cup in 1991. A team only has to best the opposing team or in the case of the MXdN, teams.
@@1969cmp wirh half of the Rugby world cup finals being decided by 6 or less.... 12-6 stands up just fine for the 91 Wallabies. The same score at Red Bud netted a 3rd. A win is a win, can't take it from them. They were good enough on the day. Just like Bradbury.
"26pts isn't a great winning tally" - That's such a bellend statement. Who give a fook about points? A win is a win. No one (except from you) will ever say nor think in a couple of months/years "Australia won in 2024, but only with 26 points"
@@sauce1232 Mate, what they were, was good enough. That's it. It's a win, it's Australia's first win. They did well. But it stands that 26pts was only good enough for 3rd at Red Bud. That the winning team's MXGP (MX1) class rider got outpointed by a 250 guy on the day means there's room for improvement.
This was my first time watching MXON. it was Awesome. Great racing. Prado said he could easily beat Jett on Gypsy Tales. He ate his words this weekend. After some time racing in the US, he might very well beat Jett a few times, though.
A few facts for the Hopper and co Jett haters. Jett came from mid pack down. Raced back to back motos and was racing against a guy who had nothing to lose. So you can talk all the shit you want. It is just shit.
@@mikeharmon3272 But what most of you here miss.......Jett won his class. And Gajser won his class. They weren't racing in the same class in the last moto. No if they were, your comments would hold water. Bt they weren't.
I’m glad Australia won! But we 🇺🇸 race their mxgp tracks, their mxgp format, in their cold weather… Let’s be honest, if we were all treating the MXoN like the Olympics of motocross, we wouldn’t have our best rider opting out of riding. My highlight was Tomac beating the cocky Jeffrey hurling’s! Great job Tomac!
"we race their track" - Jett Lawrence doesn't ride Australian tracks in AMA and still winning. Also winning in supercross and we can say It's an American sport. Excuses are like a$$holes, everyone has one and they all smell bad.
Nah Jett didnt meet his match.Gajser did a crazy move knowing Jett would have to back off to protect his points. That said i'm super pumped for Gajser.Or for anyone who steps up when MXON comes around! It's super cool to see. Does anyone know if team USA or others teams gave their best start position to the 250 rider? I know the aussies did it for one race at least. It's a good strategy to maximize points
dude after the first race was wide open - was crazy TRACK/DRIZZLE/SLICK/VISION was crazy racing - but thankfully not a MUDDER JETT was under a lot of pressure USA when we seen that press conference SMX when JETT AND HUNTER both looked at TOMAC when the NATIONS QUESTION they knew that was another rider they didn't want to battle
Exactly. It was brilliant riding by Jett. Gasjer was going all out for the win and would of taken Jett's front out if not for Jett's quick reaction. Great move by Gasjer but pretty crude at the same time considering the situation
@@fridge199 the whole race? jett was 15th ish off the start and slowly worked his way up, caught Tim and passed him when he needed and then Tim had just under 3 laps to go, so he sprinted to keep with him and threw a Hail Mary and made it stick. So no they were not battling the whole race as you say.
White Flag Lap: Two turns before the finish Gasjer and Jett took the inside and rode over the mogul. Last lap: Jett rode the inside mogul and Gasjer gassed it hard and took the outside to inside line. Great tactics. Cagy veteran moves.
From the MX1 qualifying i was like. Tomac almost didnt go can you imagine. Super ride from him i am a huge Tomac fan. But im Aussie so for me that was the best possible result 1 for us and a 2 for my American AMA brothers. Actually thought USA would be lucky to get 3rd, the weather cause probably more chaos to change the outcome, Prado struggles when its wet, but it doesnt matter. You need to be able to ride the conditions to be the best. Amazing event
jett had to ride back to back motos and gajser did not.Jett had a poor start and had to fight from 14th to 1st passing guys like roczen, herlings, De wolf, hunter, tomac, gejser and more. Tim had a good start and pretty much a clear Track not having to deal with the insane roost and jett still eventually passed him. Tim obviously went balls to the walls with a super aggressive move to get him back, which could have taken then both out if jett wasn’t cleaver enough to pull up. I think 9 times out of 10 jett would win that. The Aussies deserved the win
Jett back to back motos with shit gate picks come from 14th then get the lead passing worlds best like they Wer going backwards woweeeee Tomac was amazing and kenny battled hes backside off also great event Wish riders got paid…..
Tomac’s 10 yrs older than Jett. He’s been fizzling out at the end of the recent races. They’re both coming back from injuries and Tomac might just need a little more time to not only recover from injury, but also to regain his fitness than the 10 yr younger Jett.
@@Geerz259 Tomac is 32 and that isn’t young in motocross. If you’ve noticed, the only guys giving Jett a bit of a run on the AMA circuit are the younger ones, Hunter and Sexton. The rest of all those guys are all in their 30’s and well past their prime. Tomac is a bit special though.
good job australia and everyone else, greatest show on earth, very strange how happy some are to see jet come second, the kids alright, good job by all
Jett did well considering he is like 6-7 weeks back after hand injury and surgery. Just did back to back moto on a rougher track than Tim did and got time to recover . Jett left the door open on that one ! Shame deegan didnt raced to see where he fairs in this feild. . Webster needs more overseas exposure someone sign him up !!
Jett won’t let Gasjer do that again, looking back / thinking behind , a few corners from home. Instead of riding without fear and racing the defensive line. Lesson learned, i hope.
Jett didn’t have to win Dude came from 10 or 12th with 30 minutes between motos…zero purse money involved… why ride 90-100%?…dude won for his TEAM. Put a million dollars up n Jett puts a country mile on them 🤷🏽♂️
I think Jett could've had a chance if he would've stayed tighter in the corner and cut back up the inside of him after he got passed. Love seeing you so hyped. Drink more often LMAO 🤣
yes. Jett did not need to go wide. could have rode just to his left and then cut right. Jett would have had a shorter line to the finish. oh well. Tim needed it.
@@yukonjon5964 if i had the equipment I'd be doing these little podcast i seem too find out all the latest MX news Europe and America I just love this sport 😍
Australia did good last year USA couldn’t bring anything to the table this year but then Tomac I just like watching them race them on the US Race circuit, give them time to heal and let them splurge
Aussie Aussie Aussie Jett did well coming from where he was he only needed second. give to Gajser he rode well Impressive. congrats on USA getting 2nd didn't expect that.
JETT WHEN FROM 13TH TO FIRST EVEN THOUGH HE HAD JUST DONE A RACE HE THOUGHT HE HAD IT IN THE BAG . JET WHIPPED PRADO IN FRANCE IN THE 2ND RACE LAST YEAR
All the dickheads in the live chat saying Gjiser schooled him? What race were you watching. He had a winning lead, and Jett ran him and everyone else down, and in the end he had everything to lose and Gjiser didn't. Oh, and guess what, sooks, who was standing on the top step! They kicked ass!!!
TIM GEISER could race more free less tense pressure was on TOMAC AND JETT HUNTER AP WEBB KTM was off YAMAHA AND HONDA damnnnnn from STAR not going then STAR CRUSH IT KAWI kind off may be think we should do more now
How did he put him in his place? By throwing a Hail Mary in the 2nd last corner? Nothing barcia and Anderson wouldn’t try. Tim is just lucky jett took his time to catch them and had less then 3 laps to go when he did, it let him go all out to try and pass him. Tomac tried sprinting with jett too and ended up over 12 seconds back.
i was happy to see someone give jett that much of a fight, no one in america has so far, i wish we had more of these races more often, such good racing
Ehh he didn’t get beat straight up. Idk why yall don’t understand that Jett raced the open class and had to race back to back motos with no rest. He caught and passed gajser but by then he was out of gas. Anyone with a brain knows Tim had nothing for him
Just wondering what the best lap time was for Jett and Tim in that last race. And why is Hopper getting hysterical about Tims last corner pass. One more corner and Jett probably would have got passed him.He sat up so he wouldn't get T-boned obviously.
If he did see it Jett would beat it , but I think we have seen it and Jett does beat it but some people just don't want to believe Jett kicks beast modes ass , great ride by tomac though happy for him and USA getting second great result but Aussie boys are the real beasts
@@Mickball78 just saying the race this weekend was the 3rd true motocross race Tomac has done in 2 years since the 22 MXON. Jett hasn’t seen full beast mode, not saying Tomac will get it fully back either. I guess some people are just followers.

No, no, no to MXON event every two years. Using that format means riders like Haiden Deegan wouldn’t be able to race until 2026. If you know anything about human habits, there’s a reason the adage, out of sight , out of mind holds true. Just look what happened to Stranger Things or Ted Lasso once they took a break, they imploded. Additionally it’s rare that a team sends the same riders each year. That means more riders get a chance to represent their country each year. Injuries are a huge determining factor in MX. This isn’t the Olympics where the same athletes compete against each other four years later.
Tomac killed it and tbh i still dont think Tomac is back 100% after injury and not racing a full series in a long time, We will see what happens 2025 but i still have high hopes for Tomac vs Lawrence.
TG said this is his favorite track . Prado just beat TG last weekend by a good margin and is the repeat champ . And now TG is suddenly the best ? It was an outlier , people relax .
