In the wildest of my dream i cannot imagine the struggles and sacrifices that you had made to bring them up so well, which is a great job done single handedly. You deserve to be awarded as "THE GREATEST MOM" if there is any. Being a strict parents is crucial however a parent should be a friend too who listens, argues, cares, hurts, fights, laughs and cries in all ups and downs of kid's life. As they navigate into whole new world with numbers of surprises, being that great friend will help them paved their way more easier .

Having Feelings for someone is natural. Imagine when we were young. Those feelings and butterflies. You can’t stop that no matter what you say or do especially when they are in their 20s. Each have to experience their own love and heartbreak which you have learn now. My only thing is you still need to guide your child, talk about sex protection and the consequences of having a child early. As a parent, Since they been together for 2 yrs I think it’s important to know a little bit about the bf. Don’t you think? It shows you care. Every parent want best for their child and that’s why they are protective on who they date because if he have no job not skilled, that’s a problem. Love is not going to feed us right ?? It’s great your daughter mostly hang out with French friends but it’s also very important to attend Tibetan community gatherings. I have 3 young kids that I take them to Tibetan gatherings and Tibetan dance classes so they know the culture and make friends . And maybe someday marry a Tibetan. Not an issue if they marry someone outside their race but at least I tried. I don’t know about how you feel about Tibetan population slowing down but it’s an issue now days. I encourage parents to not force their child to marry a Tibetan yet bring them to Tibetan gatherings and community, makes friends and know there are girls and boys within the community. And if they find someone, great. If they don’t then at least you tried. I am sharing beyond your topic but I just felt like sharing this.

Lhakpa la, I always watch your live and vlogs. I feel good to watch them. As a mother, I feel your feelings and that’s what all mothers feel. It’s ok you did that for the sake of her and it’s natural.Every mother is like that and you got to take it as after all, they are not going to stay with you whole life. I think your daughter is right on saying that she wants to experience it herself and she is now a young lady. Being a mother, we are always very protective about our children and it’s natural. I am sure she is going to learn step by step and I think you are a very strong and independent lady with lots of understandings. As a mother ur trying to protect ur kids from the pain dat u got in the past .as u told ur kids not to do something they will gonna do opposite dats a nature of a kids.if u want to see them grow let them do whatever they want.they learn by failing theirselves .time teach her how to heel herself .u can’t b always dere to protect her .

Yes u can be selfish but like u said she is adult n she can date n experience everything unless it’s a crime. It is natural that you react in such way! It is great lesson not only for you but also for other Tibetan mom. Since she is still young I hope she may learn her lesson and comeback. At meantime please keep one icon or image of Guru sambhawa . It may help spiritual that your offspring will always be Zaba eaters rather then snails consumer! Or being Buddhist rather then Christian, Muslim or Jew !

You can't control her dating life system since she grew up at that age of dating time but you had full right to all those words to her since you are her mother with full heart to protect her.
Hello Madam, my humble suggestion is for you to make your future episodes in English alone or Tibetan alone(people will understand to use English nouns but not verbs). Your English is perfect so why not talk in English alone. Mixing both language is very bad for Tibetan language survival. Since you are quite famous, why not use this opportunity to do something for our dying culture. It will worth much more than protesting on 10th March.
