Queen II for me is the quintessential prog-rock, or rather undefinable genre, master piece of all times. It's an unique piece of art. Such an original and perfect album by some youngsters back in 74! Nothing compares to this. My favourite album of all time. You guys nailed it! 😍

Procession, all done on guitar. It was amazing the first time I heard it. this is one of their songs where you can hear the tape squeaks because of so many passes doing overdubs. The emulsion starts wearing on the tape.

I think this song was inspired (like a few tracks on this album) by CS Lewis’ chronicles of Narnia of which Brian May was a big fan

I absolutely love PROCESSION/FATHER TO SON/WHITE QUEEN. 👑💛 Queen used to open their concerts with Procession. Brian wrote Father To Son about his own relationship with his father.The lyrics are brilliant!! A while back I went on a listening binge to this song - so addicting then you add White Queen to the mix? 🤤. “But the air you breathe I live to give you” OMG

Brian May's guitar playing on this album is something else! The way he adds layer upon layer became his signature sound, of which he owes a great deal to the late Mick Ronson. Listen to 'The Man Who Sold The World' for proof of this!

My recommendation is A Night at the Hip-Hopera by The Kleptones. Quite unknown but insanely high quality mashup album from 2004, pure Queen vs pure hip-hop. Look it up, even off-camera, I guarantee both of you (or anyone who reads this) will love it equally. Starts with this track.
