Not sure about Mahalima. I mean it's great but I think it's more of a term of endearment between the boys and the fans. Like calling your partner, love or mahal. It's like that. It's great if it's between the two of you but you don't introduce yourself to other people as "love" or something. And fans should definitely continue calling them Mahalima. But for the general public they need a 'formal name' though. I saw some suggestions like 1z or One Zone. That could be good. I even saw a suggestion like 'Gento' for their name. And I think that's good too, unique but it has a nice Pinoy flavor. I think Pablo will think of something. I trust him.

I totally agree with you Miss Nikki. CK of SBT Enterprise is a businessman. I think the issue here is all about money. It’s so sad the journey of the Mahalima to fame is disrupted by another challenge. I can relate to them. I cry for them. They endured the pain and struggles during their rigid training days without compensation for almost 4 years. And later they work so hard to build their name survived the harsh reality of life. I got it fame has its price to pay. As an international A’tin let’s not loose hope be more strongly supportive of them, a little prayer will not hurt for strength, comfort and guidance. I think "SB9-Tin" is not legible to be used as a replacement for "SB19" since it is still very similar to that. SBT can still run after it and claim infringement of their trademarked "SB19". Any variation that may cause confusion to consumers will have that result. Example is XEROX as a photocopier brand, so ZEROX cannot also be a photocopier brand since they are catering to same consumers. But BEROX as a dishwashing liquid, or as a kitchen utensils brand is allowable since they have different consumer sets. On the case of "SB19" and supposedly "SB9-TIN", they will both have cater to entertainment consumers or audiences which will give SBT the chance to claim infringement.

If they are selling the name to them must be very expensive. It is so odd to hold onto the name till 2031 when they could let go of them when the contract expired. That was the twist that if they go big the company has still a leash on them for 8yrs. If they get a new name I would hate the SB on it as it also the company name. It should be something catchy and identified to them. But for now with all the upcoming shows they need all the support. They are everywhere right now I just hope they don't overworked themselves up with the added burden of the issue. Legal issues are different let us just hope this will be settled amicably.

I think the problems started when the previous company was handed to CK. You see Mahalima and Tatang Robin with SBTown are still good.. They were seen at the fanmeet concert. CK was nowhere to be found. The relationship between Mahalima and Tatang are like father and son but with CK i don't think soo.. re-gento- for sure nanghihingi yan kahit pa na under na sila ng 1z but the fact that Mahalima was still using Sb19 when they released the Pagtatag album, i think they demanded a cut from that.. As always , it is BUSINESS especially now the Mahalima is gaining popularity globally.

As an International fan it sounds like Tatang Robin and SB19 are on good terms. When CK came into the picture things changed. Being in retail for many years I've come to realize that everything is about money. If the company wasn't producing profits the parent company wasn't willing to spend money. In my eyes ShowBT was either not capable or didn't want to spend the finances needed to support this growing group but wants royalties for all their (SB19's) hard work. It's obvious that they wanted more than ShowBT was willing to give both in energy to promote and funding. Maybe I'm completely wrong but it's my opinion.
yes this was evident when tatang Robin and his artists were present at the 5 year fan meeting concert. CK wasn't there. Furthermore, when they were still with the previous company with CK contents were so slow to come out, less funding, mahalima was using their own money to produce their work.. You can see the difference now with 1z. Everything is fast paced with 1z. You see, CK I think is a businessman who I think will milk Mahalima dry as long as he can.. It is so unfair for Mahalima to be stripped off from the name that they themselves worked really hard to be known. All showbt did was register its trademark legally but it was all Mahalima who did the hardwork.. I mean, I get that the previous company must and should have a cut as that's how it really goes with agencies and sort.. but i do think that they are demanding for too much now and pressuring Mahalima ..
