Sinead is such an incredible singer, and an incredible songwriter in her own right. You should definitely check out more from her starting with her debut album The Lion and the Cobra. Oh and it’s pronounced Shin-aid. 👍

This was my childhood song, I was about 4 when it was constantly on TV here. With her being Irish, as am I. I just remember asking why she was so sad. I grew up and found out. Peace ✌️ 🇨🇮 P.s. Shin-aid 🙂🙂

I don't have a lot to say about this song that hasn't been said. But! She has a catalog of beautiful work that equal or surpass this one. Thanks for doing the live version!

Prince wrote this song in 1984. Sinead O’Connor did this cover version in 1990. It went to no.1 in the UK charts and no.1 in 18 other countries. She tweaked the script slightly to make it a female version. The part she had tears in (All the flowers you planted, Mama, in the backyard) was thinking about her mum, who died in a car crash three weeks before. She had a very difficult life with her mum, and wanted to forgive her, but it was too late. All the other lyrics of this song (written by Prince) wasn’t about her life. She chose this song because she loved it herself. You pronounce her name “Shin-aid”

My best memories of this song is driving down the road alone. Just the right mix of aggression and innocence when I was flying down the road with the windows down and the radio turned up full blast. I loved driving my car as fast as possible but also being aware that other people were on the road I could cause harm to

Sinead was 20 when she recorded this. When Prince heard her cover, he said “The song is Sinead’s now. She sings it better than I do”

Sungguh luar biasa suara dan lagunya seindah galaxi yg ada d langit ke 1 dan ke 7 di stulah surga berada di sidratul muntaha langit k 7 seindah itulah sinead karena sudah muslim
