Ys is an action RPG and it emphasizes the “action”. Because this is a real time game with no battle transitions, every area outside of towns and such have energetic or intense music since you’re basically always in battle mode. And this music is how Ys 8 introduces new players to this. Something inviting that pumps you up for the coming fights.
It's the theme of the opening beach area where Adol ended up in after a shipwreck. And hey, if you like this one, you should check out Vacant Interference from Seven.
Falcom Sound Team jdk is definitely something to look into more. Their music and just Falcom games in general are on a whole other level imo. Hope to see more music reactions from them! Really enjoyed your video and subbed as well 😊
This song is so chill and vibey. I actually listened to it myself after I saw this was a scheduled premiere. I have this game physically also but i'm not sure when i'll ever get around to it. Too many RPGs to game in this lifetime.
I'm pretty sure this's from lacrimosa of dana, not memory of celceta 😂 and actually all of YS (read:iis) series's following a journey of an adventurer named Adol, but the chronological order of this series kinda messed up and a little confusing, you'll understand what I mean if you search about it. -sorry if my English isn't good
Well, not all of Ys. In Ys Origin, a prequel that takes place hundreds of years before the first game, Adol isn't the main character. Instead there are 3 playable characters with their own version of the story each (I think the hidden character's story was confirmed to be the canon story though). I do suppose Adol is still playable as an unlockable bonus character for the arena mode.
@@thenonexistinghero wait, I thought it's only 2, is there an extra chapter after the main story? I'm yet to finish ys origin tho because of that goddamned centipede statue boss.
im sorry sirs,,, but im gonna be frank and sorry for this straight to the point opinion... your reactions are like MEH...why,,, its kinda obvious you havent played the game thats why you dont get the vibes of the music or didnt appreciated it because you havent experienced the game...but for us who played lacrimosa of dana..... THIS IS A BANGER!!!!...... we are already head banging right from the start... PEACE!!!!
Ys is an action-RPG franchise known for its fast-paced action and responsive controls. This game in particular takes place on an uninhabited island that you and many other people end up on after a shipwreck. It starts out with the exploration of the island to look for a way to get off the island and you'll gradually uncover more about the history and mysteries of the island. I think the story starts out slightly dull, but the gameplay makes up for that and a few chapters in the story starts to get really interesting. I'd say Ys VIII has the best story in the franchise so far and I think the co-protagonist Dana is what really make the story (but it takes a few chapters before she becomes more involved in the story. This song is the first song that plays after Adol (your character) wakes up on the beach and starts exploring the island. Though before that there's a tutorial boss with a song that goes much harder than this one.
