Yessss! Your silence during the song is totally understandable. It's hard to interrupt Taka when he's singing like that, LoL. This video never fails to give me goosebumps. Taka is arguably one of the best vocalists out there. He has so much range. Notice how seemingly effortlessly he hits those notes! He can sing any genre, really. You can find on RU-vid reposts of Instagram videos where he's singing the likes of Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, old Japanese songs, etc. Btw, both his parents are famous Japanese enka singers, so he has some pretty good DNA in him, though no doubt his talents are a reflection of his hard work. If you didn't know, he writes nearly all the lyrics and music for ONE OK ROCK's songs too. He also plays the guitar and piano. Taka is just such a talented guy, and extremely kind and humble on top of it. I've already listed some songs you guys should check out in previous videos so I won't give you a long list again. If you want some powerful lyrics, watch the English subtitled video of We are 18 Fes version. Clock Strikes is another song that shows off Taka's amazing vocals. The 2014 performance at Yokohama Stadium is easiest to find but the more recent performances are even more incredible than that one. You can try watching fan cam recordings of the song from their overseas Ambitions tour after to understand the difference. I won't spoil the fun for you. You should react to his Et Cetera (Live), Pierce (Live), Wherever You Are (Live), Kasabuta, Karasu (Live), We Are (18 fes), all these songs written by him, and you will get touched by his powerful and beautiful vocal tone, Really emotional and heart breaking after listening to them. I love OOR!!!
The only genres I haven't heard Taka sing is hip hop, jazz and heavy metal. His cover of Hello is beautiful, and his performance of OOR's own ballads is more raw emotion i.e. Pierce , Et Cetera and Wherever You Are at Yokohama Arena, all with Eng subs. Cos the lyrics are meaningful too. ^^

I don't think anyone is ever not impressed by this cover. :D Taka also covered Zayn's Pillow Talk in the same style, and it's like raw want and desire oozing out of your speakers. 完全感覚Dreamer (Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer) from Yokohama Stadium has superb energy and shows off how tight OOR is live. Tomoya, their drummer, always seems to know exactly how long it takes Taka to get back from gallivanting in the crowd. Another suggestion is Smiling Down live. It's like the love child of a power ballad and a hymn. I'd love it if at some point you also checked out the bands My First Story and Man With A Mission. MFS is fronted by Hiro, Taka's youngest brother, though their singing styles are wildly different. Not sure if you guys are into electronic metalcore, but I also adore this Japanese band, Crossfaith, that's known for their intense live shows. (And partying, definitely their partying.) Check out their cover of The Prodigy's Omen, Freedom, or Catastrophe.
I still amaze with his voice. He can sing and reach that high notes with such stable and clear voice, although he always do rock and screaming in mostly of ONE OK ROCK's songs, that can make my throat pain so much if I do that . Yeah I have a reason why I stand to this band. All boys is so much talented.
