This is honestly one of the best reactions I’ve seen from everyone else. This is the content I was waiting to see. I CANNOT stop listening to this song. I usually get bored of listening to a song over and over but agreeing with EVERYTHING y’all have mentioned this song is truly ground breaking
Agree, subscribed after hearing insight you guys had about this song and TesseracT in general, a lot of emotion in vocals and seeing Dan being in tears toward the end was so powerful
Thank you so much for this discussion of the themes of the song and the video. It seems like almost no other reaction has even picked up on what's happening and how it relates to the song. So many are like..."I have no idea what's going on in the video." It is a lot to take in on first react, but you picked up on it and what makes it emotionally so powerful. Daniel's vocals are next level and the emotion he conveys with every part, the struggle, the tiredness of fighting the fight, the different stages one goes through in a lifetime. How it all intertwines with the struggle and feel of the music. As I said in the comments on another reaction, this could be my favorite piece of art, ever. I've listened to/watched it what must be over 100 times already and every single time the climax hits me like a ton of bricks emotionally. What they've accomplished here is truly the essence of art and what it should be. My hat is off to Tesseract and to both of you for reacting in a very thoughtful way. There's no reason that intelligence and emotion need to be at odds with each other and this is a prime example of what can be when both meet each other head on.
Thank you so much for your comment! Given the amount of music I've heard, I hesitate to pick favourites at this point. But if this is your favourite piece of art ever, you sure chose a good one! And YES!!!!! for bringing emotion and intelligence together! They're complementary, if you pick them apart you pick yourself apart! /Andrei
4:29 the sheer ambience of TesseracT the main reason I fell in love with this amazing underrated band! Then BOOM straight up djent after ambience!!!! Also, loved the editing with the lightning bolts in that pitch there I will be sending this to Dan
You guys are great I love your reactions. I haven't heard a song quite like this, probably ever. Like you alluded to there's a lot of elements, and you have to pay attention. Not a lot but apparently more than most to really pick up on the nuances. Reactors, first listen blah blah but they really put everything in this song and I enjoyed the post song commentary as much as the song. Good on you guys for always delivering. Someone gets these guys some more subs.
I love this reaction, you really paid attention to everything that happens in the video, the song structure and elements and how that relates to the theme, concept and meaning. I agree in some parts. Great reaction! TesseracT is my fav. band and I'm so looking forward to this album... 😊
This is exactly how I reacted to this song the first time... and every time since! This is by far the best reaction I've seen to any song ever. You guys really get it! Great vid you legends!
Great in-depth reaction and review to a brilliant song - high contender to the song of the year! And no, you didn't' lose everyone watching till the end! Amazing how you can catch all that in one listen... I am still processing the album after more than a month from release :P
It's honestly fun watching you two gush over a song / band like this. Obviously you can't make a 45 minute video out of it, but you guys do a good job of letting your ideas flow after a song is over.
Awesome song and can't wait to see them in concert. Another epic song you should hear is Earthside "Let the Truth Speak" which features Dan. He is unbelievable in both songs.
first time watching one of your vids, great reaction guys 👌ps. my album of the year by a MILE is heaver by invent animate, have you guys heard this yet?
Great interpretations of the concept. I do have an unpopular opinion about this great song: imo the song would have been better if it were shorter (like 1/3 shorter).
The way I think of these concept albums is more the album as a whole telling a story versus individual songs. Honestly don’t even notice the length, it’s all just so damn good.
@@NHPaintballer I must check out the album (all the parts are damn good, but it feels like the pattern: calm minimalistic intermezzo's going back to a climax start to repeat too much in this song) I'm talking music, for the story this pattern may be necessary.
