The Zoo isn't just the best Scorpions riff, its' one of the greatest riffs in metal history. Just gets the hair standing up every time.

If you haven't already I recommend listening to "The Scorpions - Holiday". I'm so glad I grew up in the greatest musical time in modern history it was wonderful. 😅

You should check out Sails of Charon for a truly unique look into early scorpions featuring their guitarist Uli John Roth who left the band since they had creative differences. I love both styles of the Scorpions but man their early shit was so flavorful!

Thanks for doing my two recommendations Sarah. Glad you liked them, sorry you had heard No One Like You before. The Zoo is either about New York City or more generically the streets. No One like you is as you described Other Scorpions songs to check out are: Lovedrive*, Animal Magnetism, Holiday, Arizona, Coming Home*, Rock You Like a Hurricane Just be sure to do the full length version. There are many length versions out there for Scorpion songs. *Recommend most

42nd street is a street in NYC in the 70s. It was really sleazy with a lot of adult theaters and prostitution in that area at that time..Thus THE ZOO

Scorpions are truly unique... From hard rock like " sails of charion" to psychedelic song like " yellow raven " they are just amazing. I recomment you to go for " when you came into my life" and you will find "another" scorpion.

Wowser! Digging the hair! Digging the reaction! The Zoo takes me back to about my 9th grade year (I think). I thought the riffs sounded so cool - that's what first attracted me to the Scorpions. Someone like You was always a staple for me. I think I fell in love with the music video first and then the song.

Scorpions were from West Germany and this track is about what a European's perspective was of 42'nd St New York City was in the year 1980 when it was a drug/prostitution haven

You may have noticed how different the vocals sound in these two songs. "The Zoo" is from the 1980 album "Animal Magnetism" (a personal favorite of mine) and "No One Like You" is from 1982's "Blackout". In the time between these two albums, lead vocalist Klaus Meine had surgery on his vocal chords. His surgeon wasn't sure if he would ever sing again. Both versions of his voice are awesome, though his voice is raspier in this song than in his later songs.

Hi Sarah! Both songs are great and Scorpions is a fantastic band.My recommendation for you is BACHMAN TURNER OVERDRIVE with the two songs FOUR WHEEL DRIVE and QUICK CHANGE ARTIST. Take care.

Scorpions is a very popular band, great ballads.... but I prefer their others songs, like these. They are very goods, great albums. The voice is unique, I like a lot, how he modules it... it's other instrument, so beautiful. They have created very good compositions , very good quality musicians. Lots of songs to listening. (I'm more in Thrash Metal, but I appreciate Scorpions as a great band, and in the past I listened a lot)

I like very much, the guys have many good songs. I also recommend the old German Accept. Accept is a German heavy metal band that was founded in Solingen and in the 1980s was one of the most internationally known groups in the German rock scene, along with the Scorpions. Accept is one of the pioneers of the German heavy metal scene and had an international style-defining effect on various orientations of metal, especially speed metal and true metal. This status is underlined by several tribute albums and cover versions of established bands like Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir, Hammerfall, Darkane, Rage or Grave Digger.
