I don't understand why some people think Santas sled was pulled by Goats. The Goat (singular) was the one delivering the gifts before we adopted the idea of a Santa, from Germany. And yeah it can be cold up north, but in a dug out in the snow, or in the Ice Hotel, it's around 0 to -2 C.

idk if anyone said that before, but surströmming (the sour herring) stems back to harsher times where starvation was a thing... and sour herring was basically what was left after the salted herring stayed too long in its barrels... harvests were bad and well, ppl preferred not dying so ate what was available

6:14 In 2013 it was 81 % of Swedes who supported same-sex marriage, in 2023 it was 92 %. In Germany it's actually 80 % in 2023. (Source: "How people around the world view same-sex marriage" Pew Research Center)

Haha, if you were to eat "surströmming" the right way (not directly from the can) with white flat bread, boiled potatoes, chopped red onion and sour cream, it is actually good.

As a Swede, I will never understand surströmming 🤢 and I’ve managed to avoid it my whole life.

Crayfish vsr incredibly popular to eat already in the 16th century. The increasing consumption of crayfish in the late 19th century led to overfishing which forced a statutory restriction on the crayfish fishery with a special premiere date set on August 7th at 5pm. In 1982 the time for crayfishing was changed to 5pm on the first Wednesday in August. The law was abolished in 1994.[8] Nowadays, you can buy frozen crayfish all year round, but many people still keep to the tradition of not eating crayfish before the crayfish premiere.

Yup, Spotify was made by 2 Swedish people, you probably thinking of Skype, Skype was created by Niklas Zennström (Swedish), Janus Friis (Danish), and four Estonian developers.

The dance law is not gone, but insted of paying for an application, around 80 EURO) and hope to get granted permission, you now have to register the event beforehand, and it's now free. So there are still rules arount it. Also this law didn't cange until 2023. So in a music heavy country like Sweden you almost never hear music in restaurants because people might start to dance and get the owner in trouble. Having a dance party in an establishment without permission is called Svartdans, Black Dance.

while sweden is progressive it certainly needs to be better, in the '80s gay rights and homosexuality not being called a Disease happened, which is still pretty recent

Sorry to say, but the Swedish number is closed. But it would have been a fun video 😊 It was at the beginning of the 20th century that a couple was caught having sex in it. Then you take it a little more seriously. Valen is not completely closed today, but is open at certain times.

I have advice for you since I see your business plan idea of making these type of reaction videos and making money out of it - instead of doing it for Europe do it for India (they're always so happy when someone mentions them + they're over 1B in the world so money from ads is sure and way better than Sweden or Poland), besides that also Pakistan, Bangladesh etc. Don't waste time on little European countries with numbers of speakers not reaching even 50M LOL

also it's kinda cringey but I got your idea. sorry I had to say this

Okay lets just see it from an business perspective: Then I can assure you, that you make with doing indish reactions about. 30ct per 1000 clicks, which is far lower then the 1,80€ you would make with sweden. :) (Btw I dont make anything with my swedish channel, because I am under 1000 subscribers) 😉. It's not only everything about business, altough my goal is to make a living out of it 😊

And as you maybe see on my polish channel I do give a shit, to say it in your words. I stream regularly I do polls, I am invested in my stuff, so far the audience on the swedish channel isnt big enough to do this here as well
