Good reaction. Aurora is a 24 year old singer song writer and producer from Norway. She started writing music at the age of 6 , and added lyrics at the age of 9. She wrote this song at the age of 11. Billie Eilish has said in a couple of interviews, that it was after she saw this music video by Aurora, that she wanted to pursue a music career. Aurora was also the voice calling out to Elsa in Disneys Frozen 2, both in the movie and in the song Into the unknown. Aurora is amazing live! I recomend you check out her song - Murder song (live at the 2015 nobel peace prize concert) It's just her and a member of her live band with a guitar. For a performance with her whole live band i recomend Gentle earthquake (live at KEXP Iceland airwaves)

Great reaction! I feel like you would enjoy way more her recent stuff (even though Runaway is a perfect introduction to her music). And she really shines in live performances, she is enchanting and really into the music when she sings. I would start with The Seed (the official video), then her live stuff even from the first album, like Murder Song 54321 at the 2015 Nobel Peace prize concert (my favorite of her). Since you react to a lot of a-cappella stuff (Home fry here, and I really enjoy Voiceplay as well) Through the Eyes of a Child (Vevo UK - stripped) is really good. Then something more upbeat like her performance of All is Soft inside live on KEXP. She has done a good amount of amazing covers as well if you want to check them out. This is just a little introduction, and I hope you will react to more of Aurora🤞 . I think she is one of the most unique and talented artists around. Her music is kinda therapeutic to me, in songs like "Lucky" which she wrote at 9, she touches heavy arguments like depression in the most touching way I've heard.

I recommend that you try “It Happened Quiet” live in the studio, or “”Through The Eyes Of A Child” the stripped version that is on RU-vid and VEVO. Thanks for giving her a listen. If you listen to more she will grow on you. I wasn’t sure the first time I heard her, but she’s now one of my favorites.

She wrote this when she was 11. Today she is 24, and this song just made it to Spotify's 100 most played songs in the world. Apparently, it is averaging more than 1 million streams every single day. Pretty awesome, huh? Now, try her video of "The Seed", or even the one where she performs it live at Lollapalloza in Brasil in front of tens of thousands of fans.

She is a true artist in every sense of the word.I'm tired of all the artist who use vocal gymnastics to try to impress people, Aurora embodies what music is, feeling it in her soul and giving us a true glimpse of who she is.

You will love, this was first video for young Aurora, not much personal touch can be expected. Yessss, so much more to discover. Don't give up on her.

This is pretty much as mainstream as this girl will ever go. She has named her fans "warriors and weirdos" - pretty much after herself. And she sure is not for everyone. All I can say that among her fans you would find a lot of old-school rockers that you would normally find at some Tool or David Bowie gathering. Those who gets her gets her hard. Also because her musical project is almost concept art. I will say - I never advise anyone to get to know her via her studio recordings/videos with a few exceptions. Her music comes to life live as a rule of thumb. Best advice - check out how she interprets David Bowie (Life on Mars) - and then check out one of her own longs live (like "Lucky, Live in Nidarosdomen or "through the eyes of a Child" Live at VEVO) and you will know if you need the red or blue pill. She is worth a go, because when it comes to lyrics, songwriting, chord and harmonics setting, subject matters and composition, she is as rare a flower as Bjørk was when broke through in the early 90s. And as with Bjørk, she is definitely not everybody's cup of tea. So that is fine too.

This is her very first music video i think. If you want to watch another music video from her, i'd recommend Winter bird, just because its my favourite. But newer songs that might hit better are either "the seed", "Apple Tree" or "Queendom" That said, her live is the absolute best. Her harmonising and playing with her band is in my opinion (and hers) much better then just her own voice being layered and having to harmonise with herself. Pretty much any song from Nidarosdomen (a Cathedral in Norway) VEVOHalloween, HAIK (A forest in Norway) or KEXP (radio concert in Iceland) are great, though i find the reverb a little to thick at the KEXP consert. She is by no means "USA pop" though, so understandably she is not for everyone. Take care and stay safe! :)

Other reactors have commented that with Aurora and Angelina that if these are on ch 2 (up in the corner) or NRK there will not be blocking. I see some of her fans, like me are recommending the concert in the cathedral that Anne (below ) mentioned.

She is a great live-artist, even if it took her years to get comfortable on stage. She only wanted to write music. I will forever be greatful for her wise parents who told her to share it with us.

Another one of our Norwegian gems. You propably think about Björk from Iceland, she kind of resembles her. This was not THE song by her, you should try to listen to Wardruna "Helvegen" with her on backing vocals. I would choose her cover of David Bowies "life on Mars" or her own "it happened quiet" in Nidarosdomen cathedral. Aurora is adored by her fans the same way as Angelina, they want to protect this pure soul for what it's worth. Just like Angelina she is a very special person, in a good way.

here's a suggestion: Through the Eyes of a Child Vevo stripped back. A lot of her stuff is mellow, not your speed, some upbeat stuff too...got suggestions for all so I guess mixed heheh

I will give you that.. Runaway is not my favorite either.. 😋 I often listen to her consert in Nidarosdomen. That is epic, all the songs and the whole production. But all singers can't be for all, that would have been boring. I realy enjoy your honest and thorough reactions. 😊

Great reaction- I often say this when I see a great reaction to Aurora - I would highly recommend checking out a cover of Aurora's Runaway by Daneliya Tuleshova- Daneliya Won The Voice Kids- Ukraine at 10. Her blind audition was a cover of Demi Lovato's Stone Cold- She killed it- She has lots of excellent covers, all with her own interpretation. I usually recommend her cover of Shallow, her cover of Runaway by Aurora and her cover of Birdy's Not About Angels is excellent! Regarding her cover of Aurora's Runaway, No one can do what Aurora does, but Daneliya's interpretation is excellent! I think it would be interesting to see your breakdown of this young singers ability. I think she is exceptional.

She does a Bob Dylan cover of Make you Feel My Love that is more conventional.

She's an incredible artist and I'm sure she will grow on you! I would suggest listening to murder song for something completely different from her.

Wow, I kid you not- I was just searching your archive to see if you had any Aurora videos and it came up as 40 seconds ago! Well, I love Aurora's song Running With the Wolves, but I don't think you are going for it- she's not your groove. Still though, Love your reactions man! You really feel the music. I'd like to hear you react to Diana Ankudinova too! Maybe start with Rechenka which is Russian for River. It, I believe is her first performance on a Russian contest like The Voice. Rechenka is an old, like 150 year, folk song that she reworked and the song is about a young woman who is an orphan, going to the river to ask for blessings from her dead relatives before going to her wedding. She is quite young in the performance either 14 or 15 years old. She has a very surprising background, but maybe you'd rather catch her cold. To me Dimash, Aurora, Angelina J and Diana A are a kind of lightworker singers- like they are bringing higher vibes to the planet thru their music. If you'd rather have an English song with Diana then either or both of her Wicked Game and Human- and remember she's like max 16 years old. Her nickname in Russia is The Shamaness, as I understand it, and I think you will too when you hear her. Hey, best to you and all your audience!
