Its funny how many bands make it look hard or even painful, while BAND MAID make it look easy and fun :)

I have seen reactors say that they have punk, jazz, metal, prog rock, 70s and 80s rock and more, and I just type "that's Band-Maid having fun".

'Never the same song twice'! That is part of why we love them. There are good bands today, but none of the others have more than four songs once you listen to them, most only have two. And I agree; you can watch them as they grow and push themselves to be better. In their latest (that I have heard) all five members are doing something that they have never done in performance before.

Akane and Liliac's Abagail are tied for the worlds most happiest drummer ! both of their smiles just light up the stage and are totally infectious!

BAND MAID is doing BAND MAID. You're right. They don't care about genres such as rock and metal. The latest album is beginning to have a progressive side and a jazz side. The violent movement and static changes add a unique flavor to their songs. They improve their playing ability and only want the coolness they think.

This live version is fairly close to the original recording. The performance really shows how good they are at playing it live. Sometimes they sound even better live.

I think this was written as the intro music for a Japanese action tv show. It was adapted by Kanami from something she already had on her computer! What goes on in that young woman's mind I dare not think.

I finally worked it out, after many years of listening to them..... They have killer Vocals ....Saiki A gorilla for a drummer (their words, not mine) ....Akane A true lead guitarist.... always twiddling with something..... and a great songwriter .... Kanami .....now comes the revelation.... A bass player who thinks that she is co-lead guitarist .....MISA and a Rhythm guitarist who also does the job of the bassist.. in that she plays the "Glue" of the song. Miku's playing allows MISA to do what she does. .... and then we have Miku's lyrics.... They are just a great band.

"...and if you think you're goin' to drive a line through the song..." probably the best line I've heard to describe Band-Maid to a 1st time listener. Awesome reaction, one of your best!!!👍👍🤘🤘🤘

First, choose the one that matches the song, and second, choose the most difficult line. She said she never chooses the easy way. And AKANE said. '' When KANAMI asked me what the fastest tempo you could hit and I answered ''180 tempo max''. The next day, I got a 190 tempo demo from KANAMI !! They '' Always Challenging'' to next level. That's why I love BAND-MAID.

The May 10 concert at a live music venue was abruptly changed to an online concert with no audience. 　This disappointed many of the "otaku" in Japan who had won tickets in the lottery. 　As MAIDIACS around the world know, the band's studio recordings are only samples, and the best performances are always found in the latest live concerts. 　And the overwhelmingly loud and seismic sea of bass that is live music can only be experienced at a concert venue. 　The ticket prices for their concerts are not cheap, but I have never found them to be expensive. 　If I were asked to pay 30,000 yen ($300) to see a concert in the front row, I would buy a ticket. 　This video was made online as a replacement for the cancelled Budokan concert in February, and it shows just how good the band is at playing live. 　I hope the day will come soon when fans all over the world can enjoy the concert in real life and not online.

About the meaning of the song: Compare the subtitles and this performance with the official original video with the piles of symbolism in it. They speak of how they felt under previous tightly controlled conditions versus their individuality and ambitions. "Please save me." But they had to save themselves. On a budget. Creating their own options. Allowing the artistic expression of their own feelings. Hence the Warning. Learn from and respect the true artists, or crash and burn. Your choice. (After Life also has similar ideas embedded in it. Their frustration with where they found themselves, compared with their eventual After Life as more independent artists.)

This is certainly a band where "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts: which is quite the statement since each part is such an incredible talent. And then you have the live version. Akane is certainly having the time of her life in this video.

I love this band and enjoy them all. The vocals on the recorded albums really showcase Saiki, but Akane live is god-tier.

You have hit the nail on the head--every song is different, and there are no duds. Best rock band since the Beatles. That sounds like a crazy thing to say, but I'll stand by it. There are individual musicians out there who are more technical, but that was also true of the Beatles--none of them were the best in the world at their instruments. But no one ever approached their creativity in songwriting or their ability to translate it perfectly. Band-Maid are getting close.

The thing with "Thrill" is it wasn't one of their songs, yes they played it, but it was given to them and told to play it. It was back when they where controlled by the music label. Whereas this one it's all them. It's not really until the 4th album can you start to compare the song writing. But yes you are correct they have matured more, also it was back when Miku was still really learning to play.

Dear Old Skulenerd! Greetings from a somewhat chilly Shizuoka City just under Mount Fuji! Very entertaining reaction and so much on the point! The pandemic actually meant more work, study and practice for Band Maid who had the immense merit to hold online concerts for the pleasure of their fans. Their ethics are the base of their constant progress, and if I may say so, they have barely reached adulthood (mind you they are all 30 now except for "young" Saiki!)! Actually I remember my Judo teacher pointing out that in your 20's you should have fun, in your 30's you should study, and only in your 40's will you achieve your potential! This was the first song of a show that ran almost two hours. Band-Maid can jump out of the gate with this, so they're wonderful of course. As for the production, I think they chose better camera shots for this release compared to the live stream, and I'm pretty sure we can hear Kanami a little better, but the vocals do seem a little low to me.

Unfortunately, the sound engineer wasn't paying attention with the drums. The bass drum and the Toms have no punch at all and are too quiet. They can actually do that better at live gigs.

There's something slightly off-putting about how the mix sounds, and I can't quite say what it is. The song "About us" from the same concert sounded great, but this one sounds different to me. Anyone else feel the same or am I crazy?

How is it possible that reactor channels averaging 2-4K views per channel are reporting 30-plus K views for “Bandmaid”, a group of average-skilled musicians strumming along to recorded music during a live performance? How is it possible that reactor channels averaging 50-80 comments are reporting 500 comments for Bandmaid, containing ridiculous claims for average musicians in maid costumes, who never improvise live and whom multiple eyewitnesses swear are not playing their instruments? Who is “Steve”? Who is being paid to write these HILARIOUS claims ? “..the best rock band of the decade....by a lot.” Hahahahahahaha On a serious note: the people whose money you are taking, by lying to them, hire attorneys.
