Blackpink haters can't figure out why BP became the biggest girl group in the world, but what you are discovering is that they just have that "it" factor. It's a perfect combination of so many things that it's hard to nail down, but they have it. The contrast of Jisoo's low, smoky, voice, with Roe's soaring vocals, and Jennie's flowing, rhythmic rap with Lisa's in-your-face, punchy rap. Their eye contact (as Mrs. Coach noticed), their individuality in how they dress, act, etc. It all makes them stand out. There are so many great groups in Kpop, but they haven't been able to grab the International audiences attention like BP has. I'd like to add that Kpop fans are way to obsessed with rankings, numbers, etc. I would like BP if they weren't #1. That's nice, but not necessary. I still own music from artists that haven't performed in decades, and still listen to their music because I like them, not because of sales or rankings. I have a special interest in Blackpink because they're a phenomenon, and I've never had this much access, both on screen, on stage, and behind the scenes before - it's fascinating. Great reaction. You're going to get overloaded with requests, and everyone is going to have their favorite, but don't let yourself get bogged down trying to satisfy everyone. As A Blink, I'd still advise you to, if you're going to continue to explore Kpop, to check out other groups, so that you don't get seen as "that Blackpink" channel. You will always have people who get upset with your choices, but that's just a part of reacting. The point is to build a subscriber base with broad interests and low negativity. That way the complaints will be minimal and the support will be maximal.

Great reaction. I’ve been watching these girls career since 2016, when the debuted. It’s always fun to watch reactions of people who have never heard of bp, and watch, in real time, their mind get blown, just like mine did all those years ago. One of the many, many things that makes bp fun to watch is all of the different content. For instance, after the girls perfect the choreography for a song, they usually shoot a dance practice. Where it’s just them in a practice room and their song plays and they just focus on the choreography routine. They have dance practices for songs that don’t have music videos. So it’s almost like your getting a quick and dirty music video, but without all the elaborate sets. You should really check out some of their dance practices if you wanna see one more aspect of bp inwhich they are exceptional. Sometimes in the m/v’s the choreography gets cut or watered down due to quick cuts and editing, but the dance practices focus on that one thing in its entirety.

Yes the covers they do is altered, by music and lyrics...they add a twist to the music and raps to the lyrics. And yes they do look into the camera and focus on performing for people. Jennie once commented as a tip to BabyMonster (new group from YG that is projected the next BP...which will never be) that when they perform, they should always visualize they are performing for someone private so the the performance looks real and genuine.
So I’m just gonna suggest “lili films” 1-4, and then don’t leave out “the movie”. Lili films is Lisa’s own personal RU-vid channel that she maintains herself. L-I-L-I, as in the first two letters of her name. Not lillie, pronounced (lee)(lee). Don’t mean to sound pretentious about it but I see a lot of people on here get that wrong, and it’s just kind of a pet peev of mine. Anyways, she puts out 2-3 min dance performances where she dances to other peoples songs in all different styles of dance. She pays, out of her own pocket, for the director, the cinematographer, the editor, the choreographer, and if she uses back up dancers. Lisa has been WIDELY regarded, by industry professionals, as one of the best dancers in the industry. And lili films definitely showcases her first true love, dancing. I’m pretty sure she was dancing on her way out the womb. I mean, at this point, I’m not even sure she is from this planet. She might’ve been sent to us from some distant, superior race in order to teach us to dance. Idk.
I love the original song so much, but Blackpink's version is SO good, it's truly on another level. The only thing I could say that I prefer from the original is the rap part. Not that Jennie and Lisa's raps weren't good, they were and they were very fitting, but I just prefer the original rapper's flow on the original song. Regardless, I still think this remains the best 'So Hot' cover to this day :) Also, I just LOVE Rosé's vocals on this song.

Im assuming ya know majority of them speaks 3-4 different languages fluently. English is not obviously one of them. Lisa the rapper of blackpink speaks 5 languages. She is a native thai but learner korean to be in a kpop group. They are also the biggest girl group globally

It’s understandable how the older age people like jisoo and Rosé more cuz they seem more tamed and nice typa girls. And the younger generations almost 99% of them like either Jennie or Lisa more cuz they give off that confident bad chick energy. I like jennie and I’m 19, can confirm😂
Great reaction! The video is titled remix (TheBlackLabel is an offshoot of YG, led by Teddy who is the main producer for BlackPink)... I would not so much call it a cover, as a rendition. The Jennie/Lisa rap is original to the BlackPink version of this song, as you noticed. The original by Wondergirls is a classic and has a good bit of sass in it too, and was super popular. It is a good watch for the MV even if you do not react to it.
