Reaction To Bogans This is my reaction to Bogans In this video I react to and learn about Bogans which is a unique part of Australian culture. Original Video - • Bogans
Centrelink = home of benefits (UK). This is so bloody true as we had a few bogans at work - come first payday & Bogan Boy was off to buy a $2,500 car, 4 slabs & a carton of smokes LOL. We laughed as he was back at work excited to get more cash from Pay Day to get more VB & new parts for his trashed up car LOL.
@@user-96.- These are usually mixed parts cars & everything else. TEETH are not a priority for the bogan - or matching thongs LOL. Pay is fortnightly too.
I was born 1972 and my generation was the original incarnation of the Australian “Bogan”. The modern version of a Bogan is quite far reaching from the grass roots of its inception in Australian culture, but is also awesome to see that it has evolved and become a proud part of our modern culture 👌 In these modern times of bullshit woke brainwashing, I’m proud as fuck as a founder of Bogan beliefs to see the next generations of Bogans keeping the Aussie spirit alive and suppressing such damaging agendas onto our nation’s youth 👏
Ha ha first thing that come to mind when i started watching this was me and my mates up at Summernats. This short for Summer Nationals is held in Jan of each year and is a car festival with a heap of competition's all car based. There burn out comps, dyno comps etc. It basically 4 days of drinking and playing up. Great fun.
Last time I was in Centrelink it was full of immigrants, not Bogans. A Bogan is generally a suburban working class Aussie who loves beer, cars, watching sport, never playing it and generally a yahoo/yobbo...
The terminology of the word Bogan started up in the mid-80s. And was largely associated with people who came from a town in Queensland called Logan. By the early 90's it had widespread and basically meant an uppercase person living a lower-class lifestyle. Not that they were rich. But most of the time they have a Beer Fridge and TV in every room including the toilet.
Great video 😅 I'm definitely not a bogan in terms of dress, manner or interests, but I do swear a helluva lot, like bogans do 😅 Centrelink offices are where ppl on benefits have to go if they can't sort out an issue over the phone or online. A really, really depressing place to be. I wish I didn't know that first-hand. As for the Summernats, I used to live in Canberra, and it was the one time each year that the national capital was full of ferals, noisy engines and exhaust fumes. Horrible stuff 😅
Another term for bogan is feral. Australia has a comedy series called, "Housoes", which depict bogans very well. Kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia 🇦🇺
Bogan originated as a slur. Back in the 80's the Pommy skinheads where everywhere and the Aussies that countered that were called "Rockers"... During the late 80's, early 90's, things changed. The skinheads disappeared and it became Rockers, Surfers and the new kid on the block was the rich yuppie. It was the Yuppies that started calling the Rockers Bogan's as a derogatory insult. Which was typical of their smugness. Something the average Aussie hates...Anyway, that is where the Bogan comes from...Generally a bogan is a suburban working class Aussie...
people with money behave like bogans too.! i’ve witnessed it as a frontline worker on many, many shifts. doesn’t mater what time of day or night. they too exist.! 😉 * i really should put pen to paper (memoir wise) lol ✌🏻🌏🇦🇺🤘🏻
summernuts is just a big ass burnout pad in camberra. also, eshaes are like the standard British theft with a knife while Bogans always drinks and do burnouts.
Summernats is a car show of muscle cars and done up cars. Burnout comp, show and shine, dyno and just cruise around and generally being a bit of a hoon.
i laughed hard at the crate of catalytic converters when he said average bogans live a normal life with a normal job 😂 in case you dont know they are commonly stolen from under cars due to them containing expensive precious metals. they then sell them for scrap at a few hundred dollars each
One of the best ones is the battery’s in the roadworks warning digital signs, they cost atleast $2000, only need a couple screw drivers, a wrench and some big ass wire cutters
I grew up in middle class Glen Waverley in Melbourne, went to a good school and I think that I sound like a bogan when I hear myself speak. It’s awful!! 😂
The bogan emerged in the early seventies. The genuine authentic street ware was and is moko's (moccasins), tracky dax (track suit pants) and T shirt. The young are reckless undisciplined and into crime a lot.
Ok, so just a historical rundown on the term "Eshays." "Eshay" was a word passed on by Polynesian migrants in western Sydney during the 90s. It's basically a celebratory term to indicate satisfaction. For example you would say "Did John bring some food?" To which the response would be "yes." Which would be followed up with a "eshays, bro" to signify satisfaction. Now, since this language was evolving in western Sydney, it evolved around the poorest neighbourhoods. In these neighbourhoods you will find no end for supply of bogans. But in the hood, you have a different type of bogan which would be more like an urban bogan. Instead of wearing flannel and denim, they wear polo shirts, Canterbury shorts, and TN Nikes. So this version of the bogan have a very specific dialect which heavily use the term "eshays" in their everyday conversations. So this subset have been aptly named "eshays." So now the term is people.
No... Bogans can respect anyone, if your a "No Worries" Lad.... Edshays are nothing but their own cell organism.. Where everyone beyond the sphere is wrong, and a target... Bit like the MAGA Cult.
This is not 100% accurate. You get tradesmen that take part in bogan activities on occasion without the drug usage etc. Tradie bogans work hard and provide for their family.
By some Aussie standards you'd even be called a Bogan. I grew up part of my life within the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, the beach suburbs are a different world to live in compared to West in Syd.
The lower class Bogan is a little like a CHAV.. Certainly the Council housing part, but they more settle beefs with a Burnout comp or Throwing empty VB Cans at each other while cursing at each other Rather than extreme physical violence.
You could say bogans are just badly behaved dropkicks…. Usually just takin silly fun too far….. but you gotta take all that with a big dose of Aussie humour. Usually when they are pissed or takin the mickey out of their neighbors just to be annoying. Only Aussies understand the true bogan behavior but sometimes it gets out of hand and police have to deal with it. Sometimes a suburb gets a reputation of being “boganville”
I suppose there's a bit of Bogan in all Aussies, but only a fraction of the stuff he mentioned. There are the rich feel they are above all that sort of thing. There is the business types who are mainly pretty straight laced, whereas you'll find a few Bogans amongst the tradies. 🇦🇺🦘
