Bruce Lee plays a country boy who goes to Italy to help his family protect their restaurant from gangsters. You are right when you said none of the gangsters appeared not to know how to fight, it’s more than that they didn’t know martial arts. Seeing Nunchucks for the first time they wouldn’t see them as weapons or let alone know how to defend against it.
Bruce Lee is the best Martial Artist of all time. He was way ahead of his time. When you take in consideration, all of his accomplishments in a short time, it's beyond impressive. Bruce started the world Martial Arts Kung Fu craze. They were others before him, but none popularized it, in the way he did. Martial Arts schools were opeing everywhere, after the release of Enter the Dragon, which is one of the best Martial Arts films ever made. I've spent my entire life learning about Bruce Lee. I'm a Martial Artist myself. His speed and strength were on another level. He had to slow down everything, just for the camera to capture his movements. Jeet Kune Do remains one of the best fighting systems ever created, we can thank Bruce, for creating such an amazing fighting philosophy. Even Dana White, the guy that runs UFC stated, "There would be no UFC without Bruce Lee. He was doing MMA before that was a thing." I just subbed to you. TERRANCE OUT
Wow, you're right! Thanks so much for sharing with us! Bruce Lee really has accomplished so much in such a short period of time (honestly such a pity that he can't be with us today). He's definitely changed history, for the better. Oh wow you practice Martial Arts? That's pretty awesome! Yeah, Bruce is truly a master of his field, a legend indeed. And appreciate you, thanks Terrance!
Aww thank you, thank you 😅 I went back to watch this old video of mine and you know what? My editing was pretty cool lol. Kinda sucks cuz I just realized that I don't really do that kind of stuff in my new videos nowadays 😟
I love Bruce Lee he’s a legend that’s sad that he died I think he should’ve lived a lot longer and I always do nunchucks to honor him and I think Bruce would be proud right.
This dude bruce lee was known for his nunchuku skills. It's fun watching you react to these old movies. Nice chanel earrings. I roundhouse kicked the like button #19 for you.👊🏻👊🏻
Aww I'm so glad you're able to enjoy my reaction. Thank youuu, haha, you'll pretty much see me have them on all the time. And I appreciate your support!
The men playing the baddies in this were, according to Frank Djeng's audio commentary on the recently-released _Bruce Lee At Golden Harvest_ box-set, members of a local band, so they weren't really versed in action, especially the complicated fight choreography that was a staple of Hong Kong action cinema for so many years. Regarding why they do not attack at the same time, the problem is that, while later luminaries like Sammo Hung and Jackie Chan managed to do this, filming such scenes is really difficult and time-consuming to do. Everyone involved has to move with the correct timing, have camera-awareness and be able to synchronise their movements with one another so that everything looks natural and happens consecutively - and of course "time-consuming" means that it costs more money. Because of the reliance on timing you quite often saw the same people/stuntmen in Hong Kong action films over and over again. I also learned from the same audio commentary that the man in the blue T-shirt was genuinely hit in the eye at 0:40 with Bruce's pole, while I already knew that the man (Anders Nilsson) who tries to creep up behind Tang Lung (Bruce's character's name in this film) at 2:19 - that nunchaku genuinely hit him in such a way that it scarred part of his mouth permanently, so he grew a beard from that point onwards to make the scar less obvious.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share all this with me and for writing it in a coherent and comprehensible manner! Members of a band huh? So I guess I wasn't thattt off when I joked about them looking more like dancers than fighters 😅 Though really it's just a joke, along with most of my commentary, not meant to be taken too seriously; I just make silly remarks, that's all. The fact that the thugs didn't look too versed in combat, oh I assumed it was part of the director's plan to make them look that way lol. But I also thought it was a little silly that the man who ordered for them to take down Bruce Lee's character didn't hire more competent men 🤷🏻♀️ But I guess it could have also meant to make Bruce's character appear strong and undefeatable. When I questioned why the thugs didn't try to all attack at once (thought it might give them a better chance given how Bruce is kicking each of their butts 😆), I didn't realize that it was because of a technical holdback, that it just wasn't easily doable during that time period. I mean even if it was more achievable, do you think the scene would have been written so that at one point, all the men try to attack at once?
Wow...watching a naïve teenager give her reactions to watching a world reknowned martial artist. "...oh my God, he just smile...just stood there and accepted all the blows...should all go in at once....hehehe...he cant even control the stick...oooh ooohhh....hahaha...oh my gosh....super easy fight for Bruce Lee".
@@yellowberrio Yes it's quite different. Highly unique. Actually some call it the bamboo whip. Here's a clip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rEiZ9j9VfnI.html
I suggest you can watch the part when Bruce Lee vs. Robert Wall in the same movie. Bruce is so agile that he can use his leg to feint and then suddenly kick Robert down. It’s so difficult to defend such a quick move like this. I’ve never seen anyone can do it so smoothly.
* Some people believe that Bruce Lee had a premonition of how his son Brandon was going to die. Think about it. Bruce wrote the script to "Game of Death". In that film, Bruce is playing a character who is an actor that is presumably shot with a gun, that was supposed to be loaded with blanks. In Game of Death, the character that Bruce is playing faked his own death whereas, this part of the script that Bruce wrote actually really did happen to his son for real. * So did Bruce have a premonition of his own son's death? Even if he did, how do you tell someone(especially someone that you love) that you know how they're going to die? Did Bruce even recognize it as a premonition? How would he know? I don't think Bruce really believed that it was a premonition. He would've had no way of knowing either way, and even if he did, I don't believe he would've told Brandon. * Putting it in Game of Death, was probably about as close as he was gonna get to telling Brandon, if that was even what he was trying to do, but who's gonna pick up on that and say "Gee, I think Bruce is trying to tell us something here." So there we are. We'll never know, and he would've never told anyone anyways, or it could just be a coincidence.
Yeahhh, I'll more likely believe it if someone told me he's a dancer than if someone told me he's a fighter or thug. And thx so much for watching til the end!
I still have mine nunchuck i brought back in 1974. They can put a half inch deep hole in a 6 inch thick telephone book. I think it's a felony to possess one in some states.
@2:57 "They should just all go in at once at the same time" Well they WERE in the beginning, they all charged together, since that wasn't working they realized they had to stop and slow down, they thought maybe to change tactics and not rush into the beating they were getting and send one focused at a time. Loved your reaction!
Good Evening !! I just Subscribed. I absolutely love your reaction to these great clips. I will binge watch more videos tomorrow. Please stay safe and well out there !!
they look drunk because they ARE...with fear. Fight or flight but they don't run, when that's clearly the best option. Bet they were starting to regret joining the gang lol
Hey whats up cool video again , if you are a fan of nunchucks you should make a video when watching "matt emig nunchucks" he doesnt hit anybody but is super fast and verry impresive
i really want know this , hope you can answer me is his face handsome to girls or not ? to men , he can't compare to japan and korean idols , but in martial artists , his face is the most handsome one , his face make him look like a unbeatable master this is why you can see so many men are carzy fans of lee
Well I mean I don't have a crazy crush on him or anything but he does have a good-looking face with a unique set of features. When it comes to how his male fans perceive him, do you think they're actually attracted to his face for what it *looks* like or for what it's iconic/symbolic of? Let's say Bruce Lee still had the same face but if he has *not* become one of the most successful martial artists where most MA enthusiasts strive to achieve his level of mastery, do you think people will still idolize him the same way?
taking cloth off in a physical fight has its pros and cons. pro - your opponent cannot grab your cloth for judo or jiujitsu techniques. cons - you are more exposed to weapon.
@@Zoro16288 LOLS I got confused by your comment then. You were tryna talk about when I said "GG" in my video which I sorta used it to mean "game over." But I saw you type "gege" so I thought you were typing pinyin and "gege" sounds like big brother in Chinese.
It seems like you have an extremely high evaluation of how good of a fighter an average person is. It seems like most people think they can do all kinds of things when it comes to fighting but that's just a delusional way of thinking. The guys portrayed here are average street thugs. If somebody who actually knows how to fight stands up to them, this is the result. That's why they usually carry guns. No skill or physical toughness needed there
I'm sorry, did you feel like I was being too tough on the thug guys? I was not familiar with the storyline so idk who they were supposed to be but based on the scene, it seems like that group of guys were portrayed to be pretty clueless when it comes to fighting, hence I say they're no match for someone like Bruce Lee. If that boss-looking guy was sending in a group of men in an attempt to suppress/take down Bruce, I just thought it would make a bit more sense to send in people who might have had more training/martial arts background. So the whole fight was just kinda comical but I guess that was probably intentional on the director's part.
@@yellowberrio okay, no problem. I'm just happy you saw the comments. Let me know if possible when you plan to do a reaction to these videos. I'll send you a link
....that fat guy at the end trying to be Donatello with a bo; then subsequently Michaelangelo with nunchaku. Nice try. Also I don't ever remember Bruce ever fight anyone with sai; I'd love to see that.
You should react next to another iconic Bruce Lee fight scene from fist of fury! Heres the link for you lol ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y9PkOR7kCrQ.html
