Great song. I wasn’t familiar with a lot of them. I only knew Phix, and ThaGreatWhite (2nd to last artist). They all killed it though. I get some of that, I don’t have kids but for other reasons it can get depressing. The judgement that other people have had on me. Being from my situation and being intelligent but also a royal screwup my whole life. In society too many times, I just get told to deal with it. Figure it out, you’re a man. Never allowed to talk on how I’m feeling. It was my new found faith that saved me. I’m going to sorta cryptic. If it wasn’t for the faith I’d be one of two places, we all know what those places are. Now I’m in college with 3.9+ gpa. Redemption is possible

Fire I say, fire.

I have a lot that I'm trying to understand right now. In one way I'm extremely grateful I don't have kids or a wife, but on the other hand I long to have a soulmate who I can share with and love. I'm 28 and almost a year ago I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. I pushed through and tried to keep working thinking it was just a concussion. I'd had concussions before and after a few weeks things always got better. Well weeks turned into month and life kept getting harder and harder until I reached a braking point where I couldn't keep working. I was reaching overload every day and my brain would start shutting down and I couldn't even put a coherent sentence together. I went to a neurologist who did an MRI and they were really surprised to see significant damage. I've been on disability for several weeks now and don't know if I'll ever be able to go back to my old job. As I've taken time to rest I've realized some of the things I've been living with and are a result of the TBI. I have permanent brain damage and will never be the same. As a man I'm struggling because I am broken. I'm damaged and that damage means I might never be able to work a regular job. My ceiling is a lot lower than it used to be. Like I said in the beginning of my post, in some ways I'm glad I don't have a wife and kids I need to provide for, but on the other hand I fear I may never find a woman.

I wanna thank you for your insight to this song and all your thoughts you have shared. It has really helped me, as a 20yr old guy, with some of the issues I've been dealing with. 2.5 years ago I came very near to committing suicide, but God stepped in and showed me the dangers of heading down that path in the nick of time. I've been struggling through that still sometimes, but it's never been quite so overwhelming since. With God's help you can fight through the storm.

There’s a data chart that you can find that in 2022 over 39k men have taken their own lives. Over 10k of women have taken their lives that same year. Everyday we all go through some struggle, please reach out to someone…..anyone. I would much rather have my best friend cry on my shoulder for hours on end…rather then to see him at his funeral.
