The 2022 edition was one of my favorite editions of recent years! That year Marco Mengoni, who you know, was also there and sang Klama, a song in Grico, an ancient language spoken in Salento. A song that tells of the sadness and strength of women who saw their men leave to work abroad and raised their children alone. Watch it and do the reaction, if you can, Marco was amazing in that interpretation. I come from Sardinia and I have visited Puglia twice in recent years, the region of origin of these popular dances, which for me are the most beautiful and cheerful in Italy, what can I say... I fell in love with them! very welcoming and very cheerful people with beautiful popular traditions.

It's the "Notte della Taranta" festival to celebrate traditional music from southern Italy, especially from Apulia. Every year a different Maestro Concertatore (Main Conductor) is appointed and he/she is in charge of writing the new arrangements of all the traditional song they are going to perform, usually guests from other countries are invited. It's has become a very big event, in the last years about 150.000 - 180.000 people took part...

Elodie partecipated may times to sanremo with the songs (in order by year): "Tutta colpa mia", "Andromeda", "Due" (the last two of these are those which better reppresent her nowadays). Pleasee react to some of Elodie's stuff!!

L'edizione della Notte della Taranta di questo video (2022) è stata diretta da Dardust, che è anche il produttore de La Noia di Angelina Mango. Dardust ha prodotto, collaborato, composto per diversi artisti italiani quali Elodie, Mengoni, Mahmood, The Kolors, Elisa, Laura Pausini, Jovanotti, Giorgia, Lazza, Madame, Sfera Ebbasta, Fabri Fibra e tanti altri. Nel 2022 è stato ospite della prima semi-finale dell'Eurovision Song Contest, con un medley sull'italo-dance. Il video è presente sulla pagina ufficiale dell'Eurovision (The dance of beauty).

Every year a ptominent pop artist is invited to.perform one of tge traditional songs rearranged by the music director in charge of the festical that spevific year. You should react to Marco Mengoni and Mahmood performances, both excellent imho, although very different. Marco showcased his exceptional vocal skills and Mahmood had to study Arabic from one of his relatives for over 3 years since he doesn't speak any and the song yhey choose for him was in such language 😊 check them out as Notte della Taranta + name of the artist...
