Reaction To: George Lucas on Disney's Sequel Trilogy 

George Lucas wasn't perfect. But Star Wars was better when he was in charge.

George Lucas is not a perfect filmmaker, but I would rather watch his content over Disney's. The original and prequel trilogies are goated along with the Expanded Universe.

George was talking about Red Tails and Strange Magic which both lost money, the second one was released by Disney, they didn't promote it there is only DVD, no Blu-Ray.

His filmography I find kind of interesting he did create Indiana Jones and made a franchise of it not to say I think all are good, he produced Captain Eo 3d ride in the Disney parks around the 80's and 90's he was executive producer in Labyrinth as well as all 5 Indiana Jones which he was only writer in the first 4. He wrote Willow also. It was interesting that with the Star Wars films he found the original film so stressful to make that he nearly had a heart attack which then he didn't direct the sequels but was executive producer and writer of them. Why he felt more relaxed doing the prequels and he was older then, no idea. I do find something ironic about his career he never wanted to mainstream films but that might have changed during his heyday with Star Wars and Skywalker Ranch I've no idea why he wanted to create that apart from having his empire no pun intended

STAR WARS should have only been 6 main movies (originals and prequels). I can accept and watch ROGUE ONE and the first 2 Mandalorian seasons but thats it.

Lord Lucas was not always Mr Perfect on episodes 1 thru 6,but at least he didn’t make an embarrassing mess out of it like Kathleen Kennedy over there 👉 at Disney land.

George Lucas may not have been the best when it came to doing dialogue but he knew how to craft awesome lightsaber battles and had a story that throughout that was consistent.

Now they got the marvels MCU tv on Blu-ray you can buy but only the collection edition

In the 10-15 years prior to the sale, the Clone Wars film critically bombed, the TV series was made at financial loss due to the general disinterest in the franchise, and the prequels are still the lowest ranked trilogy on all major aggregator sites. Just sayin’…

Nice reaction video. I agree with you George Lucas in that while the I do think that in retrospect while things were better when he was in control of Star Wars, things weren't great either. George was arguably the one who started screwing up Star Wars with the special editions and while I don't mind the prequels (except Attack of the Clones) Star Wars really should have ended after the original trilogy was done. George has sold out since so it doesn't suprise me that he backs Bob Iger after selling Star Wars to Disney.

Star Wars has lost its way by Disney after George Lucas had sold it.

Yes we all know that the Star Wars sequels suck ass. However people have this mentality as if the prequels were any better. The prequels sucked just as much as the sequel trilogy. Just because the sequels were garbage it doesn’t make the prequels any better. George Lucas is a shit filmmaker and storyteller, the prequels are an example of that. Both suck
