I love Peyton Parish's works, man has an amazing voice and so does Saltatio Mortis! I discovered Peyton through Miracle of Sound and have been hooked ever since! A very good reaction, like each and every single one I have watched so far. In case no one answered it yet: There are bagpipes in Greek, Macedonian, Thracian and Turkish (to name but a few countries in the area of which Greeks settled in ancient times) folk music, even though I think they are a bit differently built and different tonewise to the Western European ones. 🙂 Anyway, I think they suited the song quite well. And no, it would not be a Saltatio Mortis song without them.

From a certain point of view they didn’t include the blades as a way of him either escaping or hiding his past from his new family. I have played the whole Norse saga and I understand the story behind the blades of chaos
