These guys pay a lot of homage to the OG’s of gangster rap and the beginning of southern rap (call it country rap but these guys can rap rap too just with a twang). They respect the real ones historically and keep their music relevant throughout their songs.

Pocket full of stones in the 90's was a Pocket full of crack. Brodnax is the dude in the LA hat. He is from Louisiana and LA is the abbreviation. Brodnax also was heavily influenced by Texas rap mainly ugk and he was supposed to work with dj screw back in the day before he passed away
