GYUHAN is considered a RARE SHIP but- LONG POST AHEAD: they're rare because of how jeonghan & mingyu are both part of two/three of the most popular ships in SVT. BUT- If you actually took the time to watch how they interact. Mingyu & Jeonghan are INSANELY CLOSE and have one of the MOST INTENSE CHEMISTRY i've seen. Friendly or romantic whatever may it be- They're a great duo. They're opposites attract. They are literal MAGNETS if you watch them closely. You pull them apart they still find a way to be together. + They've been roomates before (which was really cute theres this whole story where jeonghan would tell mingyu stories before he sleeps) but have admitted to having really different sleeping habits that made them struggle sleeping together. But they have admitted to hang out so much to the point they've been spotted multiple times by fans and randos hanging by themselves around the cities. + The members themselves love to ship mingyu and jeonghan together. Dino said it himself "they are a popular ship among seventeen" during OFD. In Game Caterer's Dk, Cheol & Wonwoo saying "youre meant to be." "You teamed up again" "you both are great together." And you can tell from the choreographies (Mansae, Fear etc.) They have crazy chemistry that the choreographers love to use because of how paired up they are. + If you watch their concert videos, airport videos, behind the scenes and gose... no matter how far away mingyu and jeonghan are from each other THEY WILL ALWAYS find a way towards each other and unconciously cling to each other (hug, hold hands, make jokes). They're so touchy to the point its not even fan service because again they arent even a popular ship theres no reason for them to (they naturally are just affectionate)... but gdi it gives me butterflies just how clingy they are... if they are in a set formation or in a photoshoot they always find a way to catch each other's eyes- even mid performances! So many fancams of them always entertaining each other during dances. [And if you look back further during their Melona Room days. They were so clingy. ] + jeonghan LOVES to baby Members younger than him... but for some reason he also loves to be babied by Mingyu... idk but I havent seen him talking in aegyo around other members to get what he wants except mingyu. Its usually jeonghan babying the others. + their clothes stealing thing! This one is iconic. This is a thing that exists between gyuhan wherein they take each others stuff and if the other doesnt find out its automatically theirs. +they bicker a lot to the point that even their families get dragged into it and its so cute and all in good fun. Indeed they are a CHAOTIC DUO. It's fun to see their friendship bloom like that & you really hit the nail on the head when you said... people want a relationship which stems from a chaotic friendship (that is for me at least- considering thats how my parents act as well, a partner who you can joke around with, bicker & fight with but also be sweet around) + Mingyu loves Jeonghan's visuals. Like- even after jeonghan told mingyu he was handsome but not his type, Mingyu stood his ground and said he found jeonghan attractive. When he was asked to choose hed always pick jeonghan as the most handsome (besides himself lmao). I still remembered how mingyu was in disbelief when he first saw jeonghan for the first time predebut because his looks were deceiving him. He has jeonghan's name on his phone saved as "Angel" as well. Hoshi had teased him about how whipped he was over jeonghan's cuteness and you can just see it in mingyus face when jeonghan does something cute (i know other male idols from other groups cringe when a member does something cute). The list goes on tbh. + during team games... Mingyu and Jeonghan love teaming up. Theyre opposites but they understand each other so well and work great together... but when they are on opposing teams, Jeonghan or Mingyu will find a way to go up against each other specifically (or would even betray the others and work together). This is what i mean by they will find a way to be around each other. Its so fun to watch them, theyre chemistry is great. i could go on and on and this is just a few... if you do a deep dive into IRL gyuhan content you'll get what i mean. There's just so much tension its insane (again shipping os for fun so dont take it too seriously) but sometimes ngl it kinda makes me delulu watching them. I didn't really have a major ship when i first got into svt cause they just seemed like bro bros to me which i still loved of course. I had no plans on shipping any of them... but i stumbled across Gyuhan and found out it wasnt popular and just started watching them... and yeah... Their chemistry got me hooked. I dont think these videos were the best represenation of their chemistry (videos are kind of repetative and cropped out the essential parts like the content of their convos)... its usually in the little things~ If you look up GYUHAN THREAD or GYUHAN ICEBERG on twitter. You'll see an insane amount of moments between the two: waist hugging, back hugging, hand holding (so much hand holding- like you dont need to hold hands that much bruh), hair fixing, lots of feeding, nosing, bicep & thigh touching, neck caressing etc. SO MANY. (They also have an entire show of them being domestic parents/uncles to twins, taking care of them and playing with them, and han calls mingyu "honey") Some fans tend to focus more on their banter but forget to see how sweet these two are. They're the perfect balance of Sugar & Spice. They're a fiesty firey ship but also loving. So yeah~ just wanted to drop this.

Let me try to explain how i see their dynamics as a carat: *Mingyu is Jeonghan's babyboy. *Scoups is Jeonghan's babygirl. *Jeonghan is a babygirl in general, but to both of them especially. *GyuHan are incredibly fond of each other (as ALL svt are of each other) and are peak sibling behavior to each other. But they also love to flirt with e/o unprompted because Mingyu and Jeonghan both love the attention and know that they are SVT 's representative visuals: the prettiest and most handsome...and they do play it up for the camera all in good fun... 😁 But yeah, their flirting will make you feel feels, but is totally different from Jeongcheol/Coupjeong and MinWon/Meanie feels... ❤ Hope this helps... ❤

You saying that this is an agreesive friendship made me relfect on how violent yet soft seventeen are with each other bcs i think Gyuhan isnt even top 5 for physically aggressive duos in SVT. Theyre probably one of the most physically affectionate groups but also like bickering groups i think.
