I've heard others say (even guys) that they felt like Austin was singing to them, and that they kinda fell in love with him! He's GOOD.... and, mind you , he CAN seem to do be able to do that! He's a massive flirt. But this was him singing to the woman he actually DOES love! So darling!
Austin started out amazingly and it just kept getting better as the song went along. About half way in, it became very apparent to me that I was hearing something very special. I highly doubt anybody will hear a cover of this classic any better than this version in their lifetime. I know I won't. Fantastic reaction. I absolutely subscribed.
This just ROCKS ‼️🔥🥰. Tim had been after Austin to do this for awhile…….&…..WOW did he Ever 🥰🔥 ‼️….Pure AWESOMENESS ….just gives me chills and tingles to my toes 🥰❤️🥰‼️
Austin's Unchained Melody and I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by Peter Hollens feat. Home Free are the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
When Austin recorded this, he was singing it to his wife. If you notice his side eye into the camera where he would get this look that would melt any woman's heart, he was actually looking at the love of his life.
Austin is just completely off the chain with this one, and Adam's percussion is just stellar. Like you, I hated the fade out, especially with those gorgeous high, high notes.
Hello my fellow Home Fries!! That dramatic ending and paid out has done exactly what it was meant to be everybody's talking about it. Some like it some don't . I loved your reaction! If you ever have a chance to go see them in concert! I just saw them live for the fourth time at a very small venue in Orlando. They are real people that God has granted them the gift of music ! And blessed us to hear the beautiful music that they make and videos!
Austin did an absolutely amazing job with this song. His beautiful girlfriend was in the studio while he was singing this. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
Thank you so much for doing some more Home Free. I agree Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
Thank you, I enjoyed your reaction. How Adam Rupp constantly adjusts his beats for acoustic style songs like this and, upbeat songs always makes me me smile. I appreciate the one time, that us Home Fries are all frustrated by a track it is this one with the fade out of Austin’s high run at the end. Some favorite Home Free original songs: Dive Bar Saints, Land of the Free, Snow Globe, Don’t It Feel Good, Good Ol Country Harmony, Home Free’s covers of Some Girls Do and One Man Band.
Thank you for my first Home Free reaction by you. As a card-carrying Home Fry, I will be checking out your HF playlist for sure. Will be back for more. Cneers@
You should see his Solo Channel where he sings soo many crooner songs...he actually sings AT LAST in the SAME KEY....HF cover of Crazy is also amazing.....everything they all do, both individually and as a group is just amazing.
Austin has a solo channel here on RU-vid and he is really really good at the old school R&B hits. His latest there is a Paul Anka hit, Put Your Head On My Shoulder. Its just incredible.
Other favorite Home Free for me are newer ones. One Man Band is ear Candy and their latest Bless the Broken Road were just off the charts. Nice to see a new Home Free. Thank you.
@@MetalGuyReacts For a lighter side of HF, you've gotta try their Butts Medley! It's musically as awesome as you'd expect, but shows how hilarious the guys are as well.
This song is probably not an easy one to cover, or at least cover well but Austin and Home Free do an amazing job with this song! In some of their more serious songs they really put their heart and soul into it! Just another beautiful cover to add to their ever growing list of songs and videos. It is pretty awesome to see and watch their earlier stuff and how much they have progressed over the years! The level of talent that they have reached is nothing short of perfection IMO! Their music speaks to me as I am sure it does to all of us Home Fries lol
Yup. That’s Austin. Such talent in this group. Thanks for your reaction. You have so many songs to go. Home Free “One Man Band” and VoicePlay just put ou “Hoist the Colours” not to be missed. Keep going
I have enjoyed all their 'lockdown' videos so much...this one is outstanding. Austin deserves a standing ovation....wow. the harmonies are still awesome as well. And can we get an amen to Adam on the drums lol.......one can forget he's not sitting at a drum kit making all those fantastic beats etc. Just another reason why I love these guys. Thanks again for your 'reaction'...I'm subscribed so I'll head over to see if I've missed any of your other 'reactions' my friend. Waiving from Australia
Just found your channel ... I normally don't subscribe to Reactors right away, but your genuine enjoyment and appreciation for our guys means that I WILL be hitting the Subscribe button just as soon as I'm done writing this. Then, I plan on binging on your Reactions until I have to leave for work, lol ....
Thank you so much Sandy for subscribing and your kind words. I love sharing music with people, and I thought my channel would be a great way to enjoy new music with awesome people 😊🙏🏼🤘🏼
Thanks for the awesome reaction and ESPECIALLY thank you for acknowledging the late, great Percy Sledge. Too many times I have seen/heard folks refer to Michael Bolton as the originator of this classic.
Thank you Mike for watching! My mom used to crank the Percy Sledge version when I was growing up. I think she had it on cassette 😆 It’s the version I grew up on and is so amazing!!
Loved your reaction to this. This is still brilliant after many listens. . Love every facet of this cover by HF. Everybody just blends so well with a beautiful lead and perfect percussion.
HomeFree as a group are not from Earth! They are each from different planets and collectively when placed together vocally they become @HOMEFREE. They all have voices of Angels. When Rob sings I get teary eyed. He sings with so much emotion. Adam Chance is so versatile. He can sing bass and tenor and everything in between. Tim of course has so much range he leaves your butt tingling and you're scatching your head wondering what just happened. Adam Rupp (Co-founder) is true to his nickname the freak of nature, a human drumset. Austin Brown was born into a room full of Angels singing and they all laid hands around his throat. They are out of this world!!!! Tim Foust (Bass) of course he is from the Equator. .lol @AustinBrown @TimFoust @AdamRupp @RobLundquist @AdamChance
Hey there! Great reaction per usual! I know I said it in the live chat, but In soooo happy you're back! And I love your reactions to Home Free. I was looking forward to this all morning! Totally worth it. Hope everything is going better for you now. Its great to see you back doing your thing! I'm here for the long haul...sending good vibes your way!💗💗💗
Had this song running through my head all morning. Then your reaction popped up in my RU-vid recommendations. Thanks for helping me banish that earworm. :)
Talk about memories, this one brings so many up. I would dance every wk-end & it was awsome. Percy Sledge performed it live so we were always up close & personal. Fun, fun, had one great wk-end after wk-end. Thanks for sure, great song & wonderful performance. Akita, 🇺🇸 👵 lady
Austin seemed to take a great step forward in the last year. He was pretty amazing before but he's found a new richness and agility. Possibly it's just renewed confidence from being able to think and work on his own stuff during lockdown in a settled domestic environment, but it's no exaggeration to say that he's now one of the leading tenors in the world. Unfortunately the music industry likes labels (not everyone is as open minded as you!), which is why Home Free generally is not more widely recognised and why Austin is not in demand from really big promoters. Do have a look at his channel, which is full of excellent stuff, covers and his own songs, and a couple of songs he did with ResurrecSis Music, one of which (Empty House) seems to mark a new departure for him. Excellent reaction - I was glad you gave Adam his due as the heartbeat of this song.
Love your reactions.. and love what you have to say. New Sub here.. (actually I subbed on Broken Road.. loved that Prince shirt you were wearing) Thanks for all you do! Have you seen Crazy? or Austins Signed Sealed Delivered (on his deck with Jenika Tim;s wife Chris Chatham and Seb on keyboards? One commenter said .. Austin is like a Disney Princess.. there are always animals nearby . so true! )
You can't ever go wrong with a Home Free song ever! But Adam Rupp (Beatboxer) is the only Adam in the group.... they call the other Baritone "Chance" because it helps them keep the guys separate. Home Free is THE absolute BEST a Capella group. Pentatonix, Vocal Rush and the others just don't have the same chops as these 5 guys or the range. That's my opinion and thanks for the reaction!
Nice reaction! For more Austin listen to songs posted on his own channel ie “Unchained Melody”! Listen to their collaboration with Don Mclean “the American pie!;”. Fantastic collaboration with Kenny Rogers on “children go where I send thee;!” Amazing collaborations with the Oak Ridge boys on “Elvira” and “Oh Beautiful Star of Bethlehem”!; Their new release Bless the Broken Road is unmatched perfection!!
The Awesome 5 Home Free. For a treat find a live video of Working 9 to 5. You will be surprised at end. Austin has a personal recording of Unchained Melody. Wow it rocks. HF Folsom Prison Blues.
Hey brother, just going through your older videos and I’m loving what you do. I saw your reaction to the first reaction of Pentatonix on The Sing Off and if you want to venture into that show again you should listen to the Queen Medley done by the Dartmouth Aires on that show. They placed second to the Px and the performance they game for it was untouchable.
