@ Verdade! 😍👑
Queen Kylie is a national treasure here in Australia and she has definitely cemented her Icon status with this absolute banger… and at 55 she still has it💕
I always enjoy watching Americans react to Kylie. For those there who have never stepped foot outside The States, they truly wouldn't be able to understand/grasp the scope of her massive career. She is beloved everywhere else in the world and is considered a top tier artist (on par with Madonna, Michael Jackson etc) for over 5 decades now. Padam Padam continues to solidify her status as we progress through this current one.
Exactly. This is a very expected reaction from 2 straight guys (no shade, I have straight friends, my parents are straight…) or straight dudes not appreciating ANY of the gay queer lgbtqia+ with amazing photography, the killing choreography and all the references to our world. The one guy wanted a scene with a man, to look like a chase 🤭, the other wanted more in the restaurant because the guy got the salt super fast. 😐. AND THEN, one of them did not get at all what Padam Padam means and the other GUESSES it. Dudes, in what world do you live in? Is this what is like to be straight or not aware of gay culture at all? “Oh, I haven’t seen so much of Kylie lately, actually I think I’ve never seen any of her.” WHERE WERE YOU in Can’t get you out of my head, Slow, In my arms, Wow, All the lovers, Time bomb, (we skip kiss me once and Golden here) and in the pandemic we got the glorious Disco with Say Something and Magic. She has been in the freaking Glastonbury festival. She’s been awarded and recognized so much by so many media means. She has been a gay diva for 35 years!!!!! Then she comes with this amazing video, killer everything, song, style, photography, choreography. She becomes a world wide meme. And you poor straight / not aware of gay culture reacts to a masterpiece like this one…. Like you did. Sad.
I am BEYOND thrilled that people are listening to her more in the main stream. She's been HUGE in Latin America, Europe for decades! Can't wait for her to bring a tour again to north america!!!
She never fails to bring a new hit! And this is just the start of her new era. This song is seductive, catchy, and I cannot get enough of it. It's like a spell ❤
I’m insane for Kylie. You guys did a great job and should definitely cover more Kylie. Start with her biggest hit, Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, and go from there. Kylie4Ever❤
At 55 and 36+ years consistently making music, there’s plenty for you to go back and explore! My favourite album and tour is Aphrodite from 2010 so I’d definitely recommend that, but her last album Disco from 2020 is a great listen too and shows her most recent work before Padam Padam. She’s big almost everywhere outside of the USA, so I think the perception to Americans is that this is a comeback as they tend to only know ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ from 2001, but to put it in to context, she’s had 9 studio albums just since 2000, and a 10th one coming up… even just the last three have hit no2 (Kiss Me Once 2014), no1 (Golden 2018) and no1 (Disco 2020), and none have peaked lower than no.6. She’s now the ONLY female artist ever in the U.K. to have at least one no1 album in each of the last 5 decades (80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, & 20s), making her one of five other artists to ever share this achievement, alongside Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Paul Weller and Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour. And with eight no1 albums she has now overtaken Elton John and George Michael in the all-time charts leaderboard. If there are more Kylie reactions coming up I’ll definitely subscribe! Goddess of pop!! 🔥🙌🏼❤️
Yes, it's right there in the lyrics, "I hear your heart beatin' padam." and "When your heart goes padam". I didn't hear it at first either, but the song is so mesmerizing to me, I've listened to it more than once and I picked up more lyrics the more I heard it. The choreography gives a clue as well, because there are times when the dancers put their hand to their left chest and the hand mimics a heartbeat.
That red chair and red Kylie in red leather boots in the middle of a scrap place is already Iconic! Not to mention the song is as addictive as a summer ice cream.
Boys go right back to 1987 when she released ‘ I should be so lucky ‘ she has about 40 vids from that year until now. Only female singer to have number one albums in five different decades.
I'm SO happy she's getting the Stateside recognition she deserves! She's already revered by the gays and has been for DECADES. But it's always blown my mind how successful she is EVERYWHERE but somehow has fallen short, in some ways, in the USA. I'm ready. I've been a fan. The gays have always known, I'm so happy she's getting the love and respect for all of her hard work!!!!
love your reaction to kylie minogue video. padam padam means heartbeat. They earned my subscription. I hope to see more reactions in the next Kylie singles. greetings from chile 🇨🇱
You guys…if you haven’t seen any Kylie videos, you’re in for a visual and sonic feast. There are one or two average ones, but generally they’re some of the most stylish, sexy (but never vulgar) and beautifully produced videos of any artist ever.
Where to start - at 55 she’s had a 36 year career so there’s 50 or 60 single releases to get through. Definitive ones from each ‘decade’ of her career so you can watch the evolution would be: 1987: I Should Be So Lucky 1990: Better The Devil You Know 1994: Confide In Me 2000: Spinning Around 2001: Can’t Get You Outta My Head 2010: All The Lovers 2011: Get Outta My Way 2018: Dancing 2020: Say Something 2023: Padam Padam This gives a very high level overview over the years but there are literally dozens of hits in between.
At 54 she is a frickin boss still slaying the game several decades into her career ❤ great reaction guys. You should most definitely check out her back catalogue. I wouldn't know where to begin but Confide In Me would be a good one. It's a very different side of Kylie. Also her duet with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds is pretty phenomenal imo. She has a lot of legit good dance/pop songs obviously but not sure what one of them to go for first there are that many lol.
I'll go deep and say the red color and the men around her symbolize the red blood cells. The contrast of the bleak environment shows what attraction can do to a bleak soul. It refreshes, awakens, enlivens. It reminds me of Pleasantville movie contrasting of black and white while color slowly comes in with more learning and emotion felt. I remember Kylie and her sister Dannii on Young Talent Time, Neighbours. Then her first song Locomotion came out, what a powerhouse.
Oooooh...definitely more Kylie please. If you've never seen a Kylie music video before why not start with her biggest hit "Can't Get You Out of My Head".
It is the heart beating. Hence all the red :) She is awesome. There’s a ton of massive hits to see. Can’t Get You Out of My Head, Spinning Around, All the Lovers, Get Outta My Way, On a Night Like This, WOW, Dancing, Stop me from Falling, Magic, I Love It, Confide in Me, Put Yourself in My Place, just a tiny selection of her hits from the last thirty plus years.
Not to mention other hits:In you eyes, love at first sight, come into my world, please stay,,better the devil you know, shocked,!! to name a few hundred !
@@deanjacobs3697 YES!! And Step back in Time! Where the Wild Roses Grow, Timebomb, Higher with Tiao Cruz, The other boys and Better than Today with the Scissor Sisters, Kids with Robbie Williams…. The list goes on and on.
You got it right - Padam Padam is the heart beating. I think all the red adds to the imagery of this (like blood through the heart). You should definitely check out more of her as she had been pumping out hits since the 80s. Some cool videos you might enjoy that sample work her over this time are Timebomb, All the lovers, Spinning around, Can't get you out of my head, Better the devil you know, step back in time,
Poll for straights (because it’s still surprising how many people are unfamiliar with her 😝): Did you know how long Kylie Minogue has been a popstar? or did you learn about her recently? (Last couple of years)
Padam, Padam the French acronym used to describe someone who won't sleep with their other half before establishing their love/feelings for one another. It stands for, 'Pas Avant D'être Amoureux(se)": literally, 'not before being in love'.
Hey GUYS 👊😉 PADAM, PADAM means heartbeat. 💓💓💓 Heart, blood,🩸those things, that's why everything is red 💪😉 Padam, Padam, I hear it (💓) and I know... 😉 Greets from Poland 💪😉
Thanks, cool reaction. To me "Stop Me From Falling", "Get Outta of My Way", "The One", "Slow", "All the Lovers", "Chocolate" these are top visual of Kylie music video
Thanks for reacting! If you want to react to her older stuff, a great place to start would be the music video of her signature hit Can't Get You Out of My Head (2001). 🙂
I know what your saying but I wouldn't call it her signature hit as she's had loads it's more that's the one that Americans know.where as everywhere else knows more songs.
@@sarablack2547 She's definitely had plenty of hits (outside the US), but CGYOOMH is her biggest hit globally by a wide margin. I'd say that definitely makes it her signature hit.
There are different phases to Kylie Minogue’s career. She started at 17 years old in 1988. Remember, she dated Michael Hutchinson’s from INXS 1989 to 1991 , and he made her take more control of her music. He wrote Suicide Blonde about her. There’s early Kylie then 2000s Kylie . She has sold over 85 million records and only having 4 top 10 singles in the US. That’s unheard of you usually have to have the American market to be that big. I posted a link below called Spinning Around. This is when she redefined herself in the early 2000s. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t1DWBKk5xHQ.html
