The young lady singing is Mayu, she has at least a 100 different voices!! She also founded Nemphila, originally called Mayu's Session Band. She brought them together to help her meet some commitments. They enjoyed playing together and liked each other, SO they became Nemophila!! All came from other bands. Last year they successfully toured the US, in 2022 they played the Whiskey a Go Go. Have your guitarist look closely at Saki's and Hazuki's guitars.
Nemophila is my favorite band. One of the best metal bands out there right now. They have much heavier and better stuff than this song. I would check out: 1. Rise 2. ADABANA 3. Dissension 4. Oiran (Live) 5. ZEN (Live)
The new Album is named Evolve. It is their 3rd album. Nemophila just celebrated their 5th year anniversary with a big show at legendary Budokan this past weekend.
They are _brilliant_ , _phenomenal_ . A stroke of luck for Metal - and for music generally. Too good to be true, actually. I already bought their current album ("Evolve"), trusting them blind, only having heard 3 of its songs yet. I do not have to be cautious any more, as they are Nemophila. "Evolve" will be just another one of their albums full of masterpieces. It is that simple. 🐺💮🔥
_Cautiously_ spoken, this song will probably conquer and turn over the world as we know it. If someone does not dance or at least headbang to the rhythm of this song, I do not know what it will take to make that happen. 😁😉 🐺💮
I watched the livestream of Nemophila's 5th anniversary concert on Saturday from the Budokan, Toyko, and it was fire from beginning to end! 18 song setlist, including this one, plus 3 encore tracks, fabulous stuff. Add them to your "must see" list when they return to the US, and I'm hopeful they will eventually get to Australia. As Travis said, they're going places. Along with Band-Maid and Lovebites, the Japanese female groups are conquering the rock and metal world.
This nice fun song about unbridled joy refers to a Shinto (Japanese unique religion) legend depicting the story of luring Amaterasu - the goddess of the sun - out of the Heavenly Rock Cave where she hid herself after quarrel with her brother Susanoo and thus prevented the whole world from seeing the sun. You can find this story in Wikipedia. And, by the way, if you be to Japan someday you can visit that cave where Amaterasu hid in Amano-iwato Shrine situated in the Takachiho area in Miyazaki Prefecture of Kyushu. 🙂
"Amaterasu" literally means "casting light onto the sky/heaven", and it is the name of the chief god, actually the goddess, of the ancient Japanese myth which is polytheist. We Japanese say, "There are eight million gods," so Amaterasu is the top in eight million.
I will never comprehend how people get so good at things like this. I felt accomplished the other day when I sliced my meatloaf and it didn't fall apart and here these ladies are out there with more talent in a toe nail clipping than I have in my whole body
I heard that Saki has left the band. Mayu can play guitar but of course she is the vocalist. Side note it's hard to believe that the drummer Tamu has 2 children.
