The FACT that KAIA members trained for a months. (They started training in starting 2021). KAIA is a 3rd batch trainee of ShowBT since ShowBT present trainees. (KAIA members is handpicked only by the CEO) Actually it's little bit of unfair. Because ShowBT Talent Camp has a trainees who trained starting 2018/19. (especially trainee JEWEL who used trained with sb19,PHP Charles, Yukito, JP and YARA members). ****Actually April, you can check ShowBT Talent Camp YT channel. I don't know but the fact is KAIA is lacking for lot of categories. It's really sad but it's true😥. they need more years of training.
Another FACT. PHP JP,Charles, Yukito used to be a ShowBT Trainee/trained with SB19 members. (Since 2016 with YARA- an upcoming girlgroup but not under by showbt) SB19 is originally set to be a 7 member boy group without ken.

Kaia's raw vocals is good. I was there in Araneta and I think they have no backing track or it is really not loud, you can clearly hear them singing it live. SB19, totally awesome performers. They brought the whole dome down! Kings!
The fact that KAIA haven't had much exposure yet explains why their vocals are all over the place. HOWEVER... these girls were really brave to be performing without a backing tracK! They need to level up their stamina to stabilize their vocals. I'm sure they have watched this performance and they now know where their areas of improvement are.. Looking forward to more awesome and energetic performances from KAIA! :)
In their other live performances tho and even on their launching they had better vocals. In their ppop convention and press conference performances they had handheld mics but in ppopcon they had lapel mics so maybe it has something to do with their mics as well. Or maybe some just got nervous since this is the most audience they had since their debut. To really see their skills I think their best performance yet would be their launching and their unang hirit guesting. They actually just performed on a news program in the Philippines called unang hirit and they did so great. It's not yet posted on youtube but the video is on twitter. There was little to no backing track yet they sounded really good. But i agree with you, there's still a lot to improve especially with some members but they're not as bad vocally as it seems like in the ppopcon. They're actually one of the best gg groups who sings live, and I applaud them for not using backtracks or if they use backtracks the volume is really low you almost can't hear it.
i guess i'll have to agree with you that other factors also affected their performance here: the type of microphones used and the nerves might have really gotten unto them... I also do believe that they're one of the best Ppop GG out there at the moment, but there are so many GGs out there now which is why consistency is really important. Their management should realize what works and what doesn't for these girls to avoid not so great performances like this one... :) I'm still waiting for that Unang Hirit performance to be uploaded here on YT :)
@@erikavasquez1424 I think it might also be the sound engineer. There were some instances when I could barely hear the artists vocals. I personally watched the online version and I could barely hear them but when I watched the fancams they sounded really good.
I'm so impressed on how SB19 limit their dance moves to gives justice to their songs. Their intricate moves and precision separates them to other PPOP Group!

HI , First time watching you ( I think). Only watched ( and loved ) your reaction to 4th Impact ---because I am a dreamer (thats the name of 4th Impact fans) and because I traveled from Australia to be in that audience ( so I saw the entire concert and live stream and performances the previous day where Kalista DID in fact perform). About 4th Impact ..yes they are all sisters, they have been singing as a group since 2001 --so of course their vocals are amazing, they usually do a free you tube live stream on sat & sun at 9pm Philippine time( but not 30/4 or 1/5 because they are doing a concert in their home province in the philippines). You simply MUST react to the music video of Here we Go..and also if you watch some fancams from the audience you get a much better feel for the excitement , atmosphere and support ( for ALL groups) from the audience. 4th Impact are the vocal and harmony queens ...IMO the best girl group in the world today and they are now managed by ShowBt(PH) the same management as SB19 and kaia.

No hate, but G22 was using a lot of backing track (very loud at that) that's why their "vocals" sounded a lot cleaner compared to KAIA's. If you listen carefully, you'll hear G22's real vocals peek out from time to time. On the other hand, KAIA was using pure raw vocals without any backing track.
I love both groups but I do agree that G22's had more backing vocals or it's louder? Not sure which is applies. I can only hear Jaz and AJ singing constantly, whereas in KAIA's there were little to none when it comes to the backtrack, like you can really hear the raw vocals.

The fact na 17 pa lang yung power vocal nila na si Jazz theres a lot of room for improvment pa lalo na sa mga sub vocals nila na ma boost confidence and stamina nila na mag full live.. Jason of 1st.one is half filipino-korean and I think he's the maknae in the group.. And he has 2 brother in Korea in the same father and mother. But sadly they were not growing up together.. Thier mom and Jason left Korea when Jason is still in the womb.. because at that time Korea only allowed 2 child per family...
You may be more familiar with the kpop system using backing tracks. But showbt believes otherwise. They use minimal to no backing track and that's what I personally appreciate. Specially SB19 and 4th Impact. Kaia indeed needed more practice on their vocal control, stabilization and volume. And this is why people in ppop have high standards because it is set by them. I do personally enjoyed g22 and vxon's performance but you can't really compare them to the groups who doesn't use backing track. I also watched callista live on the convention and they used a loud backing track as well making the illusion its their vocals Press Hit Play, live vocals!

KAIA can't control their voice because the mics they're using are steady on their mouth, while G22 can adjust their mics away from their mouth as they're holding it. This means that hand held microphones are the best when it comes to live performances. Lapels are only good if the sound tech is on another level. Hehe
Love G22 also but the backing track is too loud and sometimes other member won’t sing the lines. I also saw Blahblah. They perform it on their press con and it was good than this.
Ganyan din naisip ko. I watched KAIAs performance during the first day ng convention and they were using hand held mics there. Maganda performance nila dun compare sa kung lapel yung gamit nila.
As a Bloom, it is kinda sad for me that they arent included in these reaction since they are also the sister group of BGYO and one of the best performer. But still i enjoy your reaction to other ppop groups. You are just really fun to watch

The people in charged of G22's performance know what they're doing. If you're a fan of KPOP, you would know how backing tracks are heavily used in live performances. Name all big Kpop girl groups that you know and YES they all use backing tracks when performing. That's exactly what G22 did here. Their performance was way enjoyable than that of KAIA's because they are able to showcase more girly swag due to having no worries about sounding off. I love KAIA but watching their performance was a little cringey with all those flats and sharps. Although like what I said in my first comment, they are really brave to be singing without a backing track.
absolutely. Kahit na kumakanta sila ng live. Syempre di maiiwasang big lang magmumukhang pangit sa pandinig yung vocal Nila kaya mahalagang may backer talaga. Para balance ang lahat. That kind of system ay palaging ginagamit ng mga Kpop. Para narin maiwasan na marinig yung mga badsides ng singing live Nila kasi at the same time they are dancing hard👌
I personally enjoyed KAIA’s performance way more than G22. Being a kpop stan for so long I can tell whether someone is lipsynching and when they’re not. In this particular performance G22 was 70% lipsynching and 30% singing live. I get why they’re using so much backing track because their choreo is very difficult and they want to focus more on the dance than singing, but it’s also very cringey for me to watch someone pretend to sing live. You can tell they were really struggling to keep up their singing throughout the entire performance.
