In Ateez, you might be surprised but the members call Seonghwa "mom" and Hongjoong "dad" sometimes. Seonghwa has a very mom-like way of caring for the members while Hongjoong would gladly yeet Wooyoung across the room to get him to shut up 😭😭😭

even since predebut it was Seonghwa is the wife and hongjoong is the husband. Members & staff referred them as Mom and Dad. More than beyond to ship boundaries, their relationship is very beautiful. They are the parent of the group. Members going to seonghwa when they seek comfort while joong discipline them like a father. Joong also wrote Thank U lyrics ( a song by ateez) as his feeling for seonghwa. When seonghwa has low self esteem during predebut, his teacher talk about theres a hardworking boy who is very diligent eventhough hes very talented, turns out that boy was hongjoong. Seonghwa said he can go through it because he keep thinking about that hardworking guy who trained alone in the company almost for 6 months.

Just so you know, Seonghwa became friends with Lee Know and Juyeon (The Boyz) and Hongjoong was NOT happy about it LOL 😂 he had the clearest face of jealousy on camera when they were talking about it on Weekly Idol 🤭 the clip that you saw & said "what is Lee Know doing here", is actually real, & was the start of Seonghwa's friendship with him.

If you watch their group-interactions, Seonghwa is definitely the mom and Hongjoong the dad, but neither of them is «dominant» over the other, which makes watching them really fun 'cause you never know what you get and who'll be the one who gets flustered/shy 😂 Within their dynamic, they do have a kinky vibe sometimes for sure (lol) but there's also a very very sweet and cute side as well 🥺❤

Even if the "mother" of the group is called seonghwa, I definitely think hwa is more dominant. I think Hwa has this side that he doesn't show but hides inside.

oh my goddddddddddd i love ittttttttt plz react to hongjoong as well and yes to answer your question, they are indeed mom and dad of the group but just the role is reversed. hongjoong is the dad and captain(leader) of the group and Hwa is the mother of the group. and let me tell you the most INTERESTING thing about this duo, hongjoong doesn't and i mean doesn't like physical touches at all but with seonghwa, he is all giddy giddy. they are so wholesome to watch.

Jongsang: Jongho & Yeosang. Very underrated! Yeo doesn’t usually like to be touched, but he doesn’t shy away from Jongho flirting with him. And it’s usually Mr. Choi Skinship-burns-my-soul Jongho who initiates the lovey doveyness.

Get a man like Hongjoon, who writes songs to express his feelings, like he wrote Thank U for Seonghwa. If u haven't already, i feel like you would live for Shownu from Monsta X, they are adult kpop tho
