This isn't even a beef. It's hype. The only thing they are trying to do is garner some attention. People just don't want to watch a bunch of masculine, mean females being nasty to each other playing basketball. I think the WNBA is going into the wrong direction. Sportsmanship has been left out of Sports to long. Being competitive doesn't mean being dirty. As the skill level among athletes have improved, but their attitudes and sportsmanship has tanked. Most are disrespectful, petty, predictable, and mean. There was a time when we honored clean, respectful, skillful, regulated competition. The NBA has become horrible enough. They have a lot of questionable behavior on the court. The WNBA is far worse. Many of the games look almost cave manish. Why not just replace the ball with a club and let them beat each other up. The way they move is awkward enough, but fighting and pushing and clawing at each other is so off putting. Catlin Clark has actually given people something fresh to look at. Actually at this point, I wouldn't want my daughter or grand daughter to play basketball from some of the things I've witnessed lately in school, college, or the WNBA. They need to practice more sportsmanship and discipline in behavior.
