This song is mostly to listen to the lyrics. The lyrics were composed by Abel (The Weeknd) and in an interview for Variety he admitted this song was written remembering the way he feels most nights, going out, partying getting high and drunk to come home all by himself and alone, feeling lonely at 2am. Loved your reaction.
Bbtm like starboy isn't really highly regarded by hardcore weeknd fans, but that's where his mainstream success. Good video though, these reactors make me feel like it's my first time with them
This song cranked when the upbeat synth hits has always made me want to have a ten hour drive ahead of me with it on loop just makes me want to ride ...
Songs from the Weeknd catalog that you definitely need to check out. Me personally I'd prefer a whole Trilogy (Originally three mixtapes, gathered into one + some bonus tracks) & Kissland reaction but if you don't have time for that you can check out these: - House of Balloons/Glass Table Girls - Heaven or Las Vegas - The Morning - Initiation - Wicked Games - Life of The Party - XO/The Host - Kissland - High for this - In Vein I know it's a lot, but you won't regret it. The new stuff by Abel is amazing, but his old music from House Of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence will take on a journey you won't forget. Thank you!
Please check out the songs from my dear melancholy such great tracks and videos too! I feel that album was more of a therapeutic writing as it was around the time he slit with Bella hadid and selena gomez love the way he writes his songs they all resonate with so many
If you like dark RnB or you want to try it out, then I highly recommend you his first Album --> Trilogy (which is actually a collection of 3 Mixtapes). I promise you, this is the side of Weeknd you would never know it exits.
@@elijahvaughan3913 tbh faith just sounds like a good pop song. It only gets cinematic for me at the end with things like the ambulance and the dark synths in the background. Escape from LA continued to keep moving which for me made it more cinematic since the chorus only played once. The song never felt formulaic it kept progressing almost as if it was just structureless (but not in a bad way)
Ok so the reason I wanted u to start with the beginning of his career is so u could see the evaluation of him not musically but personally. Since day one he’s been a ladies man but not misogynistic. He’s a deep guy! I’m guessing u don’t follow celebrity news lol but he has been dating Bella Hadid off and on for a few years(google their relationship it helps to understand this whole album). Listening from the beginning of his career to now relates to both men and women. This album he completely exposes his gut wrenching regret for what he did to her and how he would do anything to have her back. I guess what I’m trying to say is to understand his story u should start with chapter one:)
Ok up tempo you will enjoy the following: Feel it coming Cant feel my face Secrets (Starboy Album) Party Monster (Starboy Album) Over Now ft. Calvin Harris Above all for no other reason than overwhelming performance and amazing song listen to Call out my name! One of his greatest ever!
everyone debating the best songs of his, honestly they all good and they all give a different vibe and experience, i could say one is better than another but then switch my answer, too hard to choose
PLEASE Listen to his music in order, his music is a story (most of the time) that goes through each album, and it makes the listening experience just so much better to listen to the story front to back
Great review bro! I seen your review about blinding lights and heard you say that you like how it had a 80's synthwave feel to it. Listen to the song Secrets also by the weeknd on his starboy album it has an 80's RnB synth feel to it.
Listen to the Weeknd Docupoem Hurt You Adaptation Love in the Sky Tears in The Rain Pretty I was Never There Wasted Times The Morning Lost in The Fire Dark times This are so far my best from him. Big fan of yours from EastAfrica
listen to the song heaven or las vegas by him it’s so good it’s off his older album trilogy which is by far my favorite by him you should look into other songs on it as well
Queen+Adam Lambert maybe? i'm convinced you like some Queen songs or perhaps you're even a fan but QAL is just something else. If you will ever decide to react to them, try Who Wants To Live Forever and Don't Stop Me Now from Isle of Wight and Stone Cold Crazy from Tokyo. I'm only recommending those certain performances because they're HQ on youtube.
