Definitely check out The Weeknd’s older work...changed the entire landscape of Pop/R&B for the 2010s. Some of the best music of the decade on Trilogy and Kiss Land. No lie.

I've listened to about 80% of his work on his RU-vid channel, and frankly, other than this song, "In your eyes" and "Save your Tears" I don't find ANYTHING of his as being good previously. Starboy actually could have been good, but the vulgarity and his saying "ah" and "ya" FAR too much ruined the song, bad writing.

I have to say: I could not believe that you haven't heard this before, it was/is literally the biggest song of 2020. And it is so AMAZING!!!! I've heard it so much on the radio that I really should have been tired of it by now, but no: every single time I get so pumped up and turn the volume up. He reallyhit the jackpot with this one. For the music video, I must say that coming from a tiny little north european country I'm SOOOO PROUD OF ANTON TAMMI, the super talented director of this mv!!! To all my fellow Finns out there, I think it is fair to say "TORILLE"!

"Wicked Games" was his first real hit back in 2011 when he released his first mixtape 'House of Balloons'. His trilogy of mixtapes from that year changed mainstream R&B forever, if not music in general.

The song definitely slaps sonically and at first I just thought it was a sappy love song. However what makes the song interesting lyrically is that he's actually singing about his relationship with drugs (a common theme in his music). If you re-listen to the lyrics with that in mind it adds a whole other dimension. Nice reaction btw, would love to see you cover tracks from the Weeknds early discography, its a different vibe but I have no doubt you'll love that too :)

This channel is so underrated. Great work! You should check out the whole discography of The Weeknd, he started as a very dark and gritty artist, and he is still a dark artist but adding more pop and mainstream sounds in his latest work, but he started as a dark R&B artist and his first albums are full of masterpieces. You should check it out. Plus, you'll get a lot of subscribers with him lol.

He performed this at the VMAS and was one of the few performances worth watching. It made NYC look like the great city it is. I got definite Dire Straits vibes in the opening few seconds. He is a fearless and creative performer.

I'm a metal guy as well and I also really enjoy Synthwave! I've found metal fans tend to be more eclectic than pop music fans. I have a wide variety of music in my collection. Everything from ABBA to ZZ Top.

Yes we know it’s got that 80’s vibe but when you’re a person who grew up in the 80’s this was the everyday sounds and I get so nostalgic listening to this track whilst doing that 80’s two step dance...the 80’s was a wonderful time
