You’re right! we have a few singing competition shows in U.S while China has many. However, this show is not a competition show. It is more likely to be a gathering of professional singers. I’ve watched some Chinese singing shows which Zhou Shen has participated in, and he is the only reason I keep following your channel. Love him because of his SO “attractive” voice!
This is NOT a competition show. Each episode, professional singers perform songs based on the theme that depends on the selected singer. They are performing for each other, NOT competing with each other. He is the original singer of this song. He is I believe one of the busiest singer in China; you can see him in Chinese TV shows, music awards ceremony, and music festivals. He is the only Chinese singer I know, and I only watch Chinese TV shows because of this man😁!
Right ! It was the same song by another Zhou : Zhou Fei Ge on "The next singer" last week. About TV shows, there are many (often inspired by Korean shows) but they don't last very long like Super Vocal only in 2018, or change their name like The Voice of China which became Sing China (in their English translation). Big TV channels we know on RU-vid are not many: Hunan TV, Mango TV, Music TV, SMG, ZJSTV, IQIYI, Youku... As for the singers, if you always see the same ones it's because the requests are always the same. However sometimes they are new like Zhou Fei Ge who appeared in The Voice last year and in The next singer a week ago.
