For best possible listening experience, listen to Azerbaijans song in the morning when you're making breakfast and brewing coffee. I promise you, it's such a vibe.
I would never expect something like this from Azerbaijan tbh. Maybe not their strongest entry, but very refreshing. Also, I would like to see next year a fully song in Azerbaijani language. Will see if they can qualify in very competitive Semi-Final 1...
I largely agree with you on that, but not so fast with your cry for songs in the Azerbaijani language, maybe they just never sent it, bc all their entries were written by people from somewhere else, but not all languages are created equal, some of them are just not made for singing. I wouldn't wanna hear songs in my native language either. The only instance where someone sent something in Azeri so far was just a line or 2 in another country's entry back in 2012, and it's not enough to judge it based on that.
I'm into this. Like you said, Azerbaijan sometimes tries too hard. This feels authentic. People are sleeping on this. Never underestimate a guy with a guitar. I think this is qualifying.
I had very low expectations so this was a pleasant surprise. It sounds throwback without being too dated. Idk if its enough to qualify but its definitely above 30th place for me!
First of all, and I wrote this in the comment section to other reactions as well, I really like the fact, that they're sending songs written by the artists themselves and/or Azerbaijani songwriters to their NF and ultimately to Eurovision, instead of just sending another jury-feiendly Scandi Pop song, that has been submitted to 16 different national selections over the past 3 or 4 years. Or a Dutch song in case of Mata Hari. Because of that, we actually don't even know, what Azerbaijani music even sounds like, tbh. And how can the public even connect to a song, the artist can't even connect with (AySel, Nadir) or doesn't even speak the language of properly (Efendi, Nadir again) or good enough to even get its meaning. Gladly, those days are gone and now, they're sending something authentic and unique, something that adds a new flavor to it, instead of sounding like it came from a Swedish Pop manufacturing company and from anywhee else in Europe. If Georgia and Armenia can sound unique and in their own Caucasian flavor, why can't Azerbaijan? I hope, that they won't get discouraged, if they're not gonna qualify and just keep on submitting tracks written by the artists themselves to Eurovision. We need a new flavor at Eurovision, instead of one of 5 to 10 songs that sound more Swedish than Sweden itself. But to all those folks, who're saying, they should send something in Azeri: maybe they didn't send anything in their language, bc every song came from somewhere else, but not every language is created equal, maybe it's not made for singing. I wouldn't wanna hear songs in my native language either. Not so fast, maybe we should hear this language, before we cry for an Azeri tune. To this song itself: at least, it's authentic, heartfelt, not trying too hard, and it's a quality song, Brit Pop vibes, but at the same time probably the most Azerbaijani entry ever (not that hard), but it's probably not gonna qualify, but it could though, if it was in the 2nd semi final. Or in a weaker year like 2017. Thank you, Azerbaijan.
Seems that it was the wrong year for Azerbaijan to send this song. It's a bummer, cause it has more quality and feels a lot more authentic to the artists, than what they have been giving us the last few years.
This is very 90s/early 2000s Britpop. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. Azerbaijan is a jury darling, and with a song that lacks impact, I fear its chances of qualification.
I like it. It's cute, innocent, but I don't know if it will get enough televotes. Yes, Azerbaijan has made it to final from tough semis but we don't have juries
I really like this song. To me and my demographic it can be really appealing. Qualification could happen if the staging gives something magical and poetic (with flawless execution). Why not after all? Remember the Malta singer / rap duet at JESC 2021 in Paris? If chemistry and magic are here, something can happen. In any case a really cute and good song from Azerbaijan.
This appeals to a very specific demographic of people so it’s not dead on arrival but I think it’s way WAY to niche for them. Good for them for trying something different but there have definitely been better from them and there are better from others this year
1) Prob won't qualify but worth it to see them going in a more organic, "homegrown" direction! 2) Weirdly reminds me of old school UK ESC hit "Are You Sure?"
Seems like the overwhelming reaction this song is just "cute", which I totally agree with and that it doesn't really rise above that. Totally doesn't need to be in the final, but I also really agree with you that I'm glad that they are actually sending homegrown talent for once and hope they continue down that path.
this is not really a mish-mash of three or four songs, but I am still reminded by three of four songs from this. a bit of "Kiss Me" by Sixpence (especially the second half of the song), some from "Georgia on My Mind" by Egert Milder at Eesti Laul 2020, the rapping part reminds me of "Rockstars" (Malik Harris, Germany 2022) and, as I am from Indonesia, the instrumental intro reminds me of two Indonesian bands: Peterpan (now called "Noah" since 2012; but when they were still Peterpan, there was/were one or two of their songs that sounded like it, especially the song titled "Semua Tentang Kita", in English "All About Us") and Vagetoz (the nearest song from them that sounds like this will be the one called "Kehadiranmu", in English "Your Presence").

Idk, I think they might be able to sneak in, what with the Beatles-esque sound and all. It might resonate with enough Beatles fans to squeeze in at 9th or 10th place.
This can be the “love is on my side” of esc 2023! This can and i think it will Q… most fans/reactors are saying “sure NQ”! Don’t count it out! Black mamba was 5th televote wise on semi 2… just saying!
It's nice and a new vibe for Azerbaijan, but I agree, this is a bit too tame for this year, and especially considering the saturation and diversity of rock and rock-adjacent songs this year, I don't think this will qualify
Where is mother’s tongue language wtf every one singing in English very few countries singing in their mothers tongue. Where culture ethnicity bring on . Such a disappointment Eurovision. We need to listen to ethnicity from each country and no copy cats same shit we listen every day. I’m not complaining about this song but was expecting Azerbaijan vibes
