Sully is a true god. Especially with this song. Tonight I sang a cover of this song in front of 80 people and I choked up in tears halfway into the song. Very emotional.

Music is such a powerful gift. And this gift came to me recently in the face of a near tragedy. Just after Christmas my husband of close to 21 years had come down with pneumonia so badly he had to be placed in a medically induced coma for close to a month. During that time I almost lost him. While he was unconscious, I played this song for him...HE REMEMBERED ME PLAYING IT FOR HIM. He heard it while he was under. I tell him all the time now that he is my shooting star in the rain.🌠

THANK YOU. This means more than I can explain. I am currently battling with a case of p.t.s.d. after almost losing my husband just after Christmas. I remind myself to thank God for "almost" being a thing...but some of the stuff he suffered through to survive has left some very deep scars on me mentally. And he isn't in the clear just yet, so I gotta keep strong. Sometimes it's hard not to feel alone.

I’m 63. Godsmack peaked after I had gotten stuck in 70’s 80’sclassic rock. Then went to Sturgis with some younger friends and Godsmack was performing at The Buffalo Chip. Didn’t want to go. OMG! What a great concert! Total fan now and they have opened new doors for me to discover new music!

Ok, I'll be honest...I hate you! 😆Just Kidding! But, I am honestly jealous. I love this band and have from the start. They are absolutely my favorite live band! I even saw them back in the day as a triple bill. It was DMX and his 20 prayer before starting( got bored and didn't want to be preached to so I went to the indoor smoking area. And🤗I don't smoke.) Then Godsmack (knocked it outta the park) and lastly... Limp Bizket.( I left). They seem like just a great group of guys! I was so sorry to hear about Tony's son. I have two. And they are my everything! It would end me. I seriously think my heart would just stop. Tell Shannon thanks for the music!

Been a huge fan of Godsmack - I kid you not - ever since I was a kid. It was their song “Keep Away” that turned me onto being a huge fan of rock and/or metal music. I love Godsmack’s mellower side though.

Scars Foundation is absolutely wonderful!! Sully Erna is an amazing man. My daughter has special needs. LOVES Sully & the band. I had the extreme pleasure of doing a meet & greet with the band a couple months ago. Sully paid attention to her, hugged her. It was the first experience of a lifetime for her. I'll be forever grateful to him & the band for that❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

If you want more songs in this vein I'd highly recommend One More Light by Linkin Park, Make it Stop by Rise Against or Get Up by Shinedown. Those three bands are full of inspirational and uplifting/thought provoking music and are definitely worth deep exploration Ghost by Badflower and Breaking Down by I Prevail too

"If you only let me live inside of mine" -- My scars run deep, don't judge me for not who I was. But who I inspire to be! I can read a lot into that one lyric and the whole song, it gives me the chills over and over, every time I listen. Favourite band, seen them live 3 times, and they always put on an amazing show. Their range is amazing, from acoustic to the heavy rock, they always deliver.. Barely anyone reacts to them, and now you got a new sub lol hope to see you check out their older stuff, as well as their acoustic album(The Other Side)
