No lies told there. I grew up in the 90s in Michigan, and my school would try and force my mom to give me Ritalin. My mom saw that it wasn’t helping and would only harm me, so she would tell the dr it wasn’t working and he would up the dosage or switch me to aderall, and eventually she told him she wasn’t going to do any of it anymore. My school was furious and was trying to tell her she was a bad parent for not shoving it down my throat. She had me switch schools, but Michigan really was bad with that in the 90s
Now they give kids Adderall, which is worse. My son was a prime candidate for Ritalin. He never sat still, never did in school or did homework. He was put on Ritalin and he just wasn't my happy child anymore. He was just "deflated". I told the school they'd have to deal cos I didn't want a smart yet emotionally stunted child.
Does he like music? A guy I worked with was on Ritalin as a teenager and it fucked him up bad. He started seeing things that weren't there and I think it even made him suicidal.
@@iyaramonk The first time my son took Ritalin he said he had hallucinations. When he told me 3 months later, I threw the rest away and told his school to deal with it. Yes, the house was peaceful with him on it, but that was not my son.
