MANA is not a short word for mananaggal. Its a dramatic twist of wordplay, Pablo transforms "MANA" from a mere abbreviation for "manananggal" into a profound concept. Rather than a literal reference to the mythical creature, "MANA" which means inheritance and receiving blessings. Pablo adds an extraordinary layer to the song "MANA" by connecting it to the mythical creature "MANANANGGAL." This symbolism reflects their commitment to staying grounded despite their rise to popularity, akin to the creature's lower body. They share this groundedness as an inheritance with their fans, fostering a powerful and lasting connection. The upper body of the manananggal symbolizes their prowess as "LIVE MONSTERS" in their singing, akin to being powerful and mighty, capable of conquering various stages. Yet, they remain grounded due to the lower body, signifying humility and rootedness amidst success. MANA isn't just about passing down their music through inheritance; they see their songs as a legacy for their fans. Even when they're no longer around, their music will continue to be a cherished part of our lives, uplifting and inspiring us.

Pablo has this wordplay in every song he make. It has double meaning like Mana in tagalog means heirloom. Manananggal a mythical creature.

What impresses me the most about Pablo is his use of metaphors, references, wordplays in every song he writes. Not to mention, how he imagined the melody of the song where all their 5 voices/ timbre will mixed in beautifully. I guess that's so amazing and genius .❤😊❤😊

Mana is the abbreviation of the word "Manananggal"( a mythical creature which the upper part of the body is divided to the lower part). Philippine folkore that creeps history and transcends really to people who was challenged and transforms to become unbeatable as this creature describes the group but its more to be said. There's this reactor that explained perfectly the meaning of the song. I am happy to that reactor. Anyway, thanks! A'tin here😊

Funny how they said it tends to be repetitive and they just paused at the right time...I was already laughing back here, thinking, "Oh, you're in for a surprise! Just wait..." and then, here's comes Ken's bridge from the underworld, the chorus, and Stell's suspended high note! LOL Monster performers performing a song about a folkloric monster - the song is so weird in the sense that, who would write a song about a mananaggal - it's a creepy, ugly, scary creature?!? But because Pablo has a way with words with his poetry, metaphors and his arrangements and sound, he was able to tickle the fans' interest that MANA became a fan-favourite track! These boys are not afraid to be different and to be outside of the box and truly are breaking the norms in Philippine music!
