Every time Diana sings, I am beckoned to follow her to another world

When you were flipping through the playlist, one wonderful song "I'm not there" ("Там нет меня") performed by Diana at the age of 12 caught your eye. It's in Russian, but in this case the language is not important. Just listen to how she could "capture and carry you away" at such a young age by simply performing this composition on the equipment of a random street musician while walking along the embankment. In the video in the playlist, she is standing in a short azure dress.

Diana does not sing to her audience she reaches out and pull everyone into her world by totally committing to a song, body and soul, amazing talent.

Great podcast. She's a wonder on this world. To me she is like a musical eclipse, where she passes you can't hear the original anymore, her versions tend to be a true cover, in the sense they come over the original to the point where you see the song as hers. She is a fortunate mix of unequalled talent with high level professional guidance and education and a good work ethic. May she find love and health in life so she can nuture her gifts to their full potential. Although she could stop singing tomorrow and she would stay a musical legend. But she has obviously so much more to give.

Greetings from Scotland! Diana, the girl who was born to sing! From the cuteness of The Beatles straight into the explosive power of Dune 10 years later at 20yo! What a contrast! But it was already clear that at 10 years old that this was going to be a superstar in the future. The tone was there and the power was there even then. When she performed Yodel on The Voice Kids Russia she had a lucky escape! Thank God they didn't understand what they had performing in front of them! IF she had been chosen she may have drifted into obscurity, never to have been heard of again! They asked her to sing another song after and she stunned them with Édith Piaf's je ne regrette rien. THEN they knew they had made the biggest mistake of their careers! (Thankfully!!) The crowd went wild and the video also went wild - and Diana was on her way to becoming well known! ergo - GREAT result! Fate is a wonderful thing!

Had a lot of fun let's do this again, there are tons of Diana performances that rival the ones you have already seen, just give us a heads up for round two.

I have been watching Diana since she was 15 and every time I see her perform my heart is bursting with love and pride as if she was my own daughter. It is a bit like Dimash - we know we love them but we wonder why we love them so much!!! Love from New Zealand.

Wonderful time spent with you both and Diana always. Sometimes with an artist it is also important to understand their path and their character, especially in a case like Diana. She, it so happens, is a mind boggling case, where the choices made in her career (her voice has been noticed for a good 7 years at least) do not conform to any stereotype whatsoever. In addition, her down to earth, sweet and smart personality makes her all the more endearing. Absolute respect and admiration not only for her voice but her person. This is also a rarity. Dedicated and knowledgeable fans like Kwstas can provide more insight but it’s worth learning about. Also, Diana is one of very few artists who sings live and has no problems doing things acapella, sometimes just off the cuff. But there are many videos of her doing Rechenka acapella. Singing live live is difficult as it is (she can sing up to 18 songs live at her concerts), to a backing track also difficult as you cannot be off on timing at all (idiots who comment on this do not understand the perfect timing that is required) and then add acapella which is an impossibility in this day and age for most

remember this is a 10 yr old Russian girl singing Perfect English, Dune, her flips off the end of her notes are her yodel techniques she uses often.. BTW this Binge format for one artist is awesome. Yodel Time, reportedly is was a political decision not to turn around for Diana..but they blamed it on song choice. Crime of the Century, D6 on the Day You.

So in the case with Yodel time, the judges said that the reason they didn’t turn is they had no idea that she can do anything else but yodel. They literally said if only we knew you can do different styles of singing. The guy judge with grey hair said if he was to become her mentor in the show he wouldn’t know what next song to steer her to from the yodel. So it sound like they just got stuck into thinking “I don’t know what to do with this contestant if was her mentor” and that is why they didn’t turn, even though all of them admitted out loud that she has an incredible singing technique.

I'm grateful to you, as a Diana fan, for devoting so much reaction time at one sitting to her artistry. I'm not aware of anyone else who has done this, and it's their loss. Thank you!

Diana Ankudinova is a student at the variety department of GITIS - the Russian Institute of Theater Arts. Probably, many already know that she recently successfully passed the winter session, following which she was transferred to the fifth year.

Awesome podcast! Thank you for sharing time on your channel for Diana. Great detailed analysis of the anatomy that makes Diana one of a kind. Also, thanks to both of you for sharing your knowledge and comments in a professional manner. Look forward to your next Diana pod cast. Be sure to watch and experience her first complete composition, Revalation ( Music, lyrics, and her instrumentals in the last strain). Also, from her first album, Duduk. Her voice and the Armenian double reed woodwind instrument are interchangeable. After hearing this composition, one of her professors gifted Diana a Duduk ,for he was so moved. FYI Diana plays piano and ukulele. Attended music school for 8 years as a child, not including the 4 years she is now completing at Gitis. This was made possible because Igor Krutoy gifted Diana and her family an apartment in Moscow to attend higher education.

I have been following her for five years and I love music 🎼 but she takes it to another level. I subscribed because she has some Incredible Original Songs. She has ALWAYS impressed me with her vocal tone and range. She won several competitions where IGOR participated as a judge…thus he purchased an apartment for her so she could attend an ARTS University. She was denied with her first choice and I seen from several comments during the “DUNE” cover two of the Instructors from that University were in attendance. Diana has been attending GITIS University and is graduating or has. I know that she’s very close to her forever Mom and during her first performance on the Show Must Go On she talked about her adopted father passing. Thank you both 🫶🏽 for taking the time out to react to beautiful Diana. I listen to many Filipino Artists from the Philippines…they are also incredibly talented.

I was lake missed the live but great reaction.. ..with Human her vocal range was only an octave and a half... due to puberty.. but when she did the Take on me at home just her in lockdown with fan bought kit....that smile was a ....see ive got my highs back... 😂❤ Yes you've got at least another session of Diana being the Shaman princess..... and covering suprising songs..in competitions. Two older ones to line up .. Into the Skys...her in the woods.. being a princess. ..and her doing Blizzard.. darker and colder than anyone twice her age... She owns it... 😎🏔️❄️❄️🌒 The worrying thing is shes played the Crocus Hall on a couple of occasions. We saw the first attack with Arianda Grande in Manchester ...then the Backalan in Paris. .. fingers crossed. 🤞🏼 Another song she reached out and learned was Hewla bade .... an arab clasic ...theres a Brit Arab producer who said her version was reminicent of the Lebanese versions he had heard.

I really would like you guys to see her channels, especially the fan one where she has short videos where you can take a good glimpse of her personality. She can be very funny, spontaneous and pretty humble, considering that she has such a unique and beautiful voice. She has a very bubbly personality and can be a chatta box! You should check the one where she sings the Volga workers song. She is so versatile and prolific! She is also the president of a foundation that helps orphans and disadvantaged kids find their north through art. I just love this kid.

The male judges were quoted as saying they had used up their opportunities to turn, which turned out to be untrue, and they never judged in the next contest, or any other, after that year. The younger man just had Diana on stage for one duet with him at a concert last month, 7 years after he rejected her. She kept him at a distance with a subtle arm move. The woman invited her to sing with her in her very next concert and apologized publicly. I don't even bother with their names now. And your are certainly correct that her yodeling was far more technically challenging. She used that skill so well in other songs during the "You Are Super" series.
