Same here, but I actually DID have the privilege of being front-row when they were becoming superstars in the early 1980’s, and I can tell you, I owe that band and Steve Perry’s voice a giant “thank-you” for making my girlfriends at the time a little crazy, and getting me some of the best “lovin,’ touchin,’ and squeezin’ that I’ve ever gotten in my entire life.
Here's another "goose bump" song by Journey. It's called Why Can't This Night Go On Forever. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bLLoYCZZRv0.html
When a person does a cover I prefer they make it their own, not try to be the original singer. There will never be another Steve Perry. Great reaction, by the way!
SOMETHING DIFFERENT SUGGESTED - HEART SINGING - STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN (LIVE AT KENNEDY CENTER) LOVE YOUR SELECTIONS AND YOUR REACTIONS ... May Jesus bless you and your loved ones !!! Growing up in the 1960's 70's and with one of my favorite presidents included Heart singing a tribute Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven with the Obama's in tribute on Dec. 2, 2012 The drummer wearing the English bowler hats in honor of John Bonham, the band's drummer who died in 1980. His son drumming for this performance is Jason Bonham. And they also have a mixed choir with the men singers also wearing bowlers. Reacting to more than one singer in just one song? Then I hope you can find the time to react to this TOP LINEUP OF MANY MUSICAL INTRUMENTS/SINGERS: The Source is the 9th studio album from *AYREON* , a progressive metal/rock opera project by Dutch musician Arjen (Ahr-Yun) Anthony Lucassen, released on April 28, 2017. *_The Day That The World Breaks Down_* is a song that features all 11 (quite well known) main guest singers (you’ll be surprised) and is taken from that album. Arjen himself is telling (in subtitles) who the singers are and which instruments are used and by which standards. Btw. This creative original clip is 13 min. long and I think you won’t regret it and you’re gonna be blown away !! Official (Arjen’s) clip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oFuMKdrzPqU.html
Jon Cain wrote the music while he was with the Babys. Singer John Waite rejected it! 😖 When The Babys broke up, Cain brought it to Journey! No worries for John Waite: he cowrote Missing You + reunited with Cain in Bad English! Do review Missing You, Straight to Your Heart, Foolish Heart, Oh Sherrie, mother Father, Wheel in the Sky.
I forgot to add more John Waite songs, solo + Bad English. How Did I Get By Without You, If You Ever Get Lonely. Bad English songs. Price of Love. The Time Alone with You. Straight to Your Heart. 🎸🎹🇬🇧
@@WineSippingCowboy it’s not just the lyrics, Steve Perry helped with finishing the arrangement and the vocal melody. That’s why Journey hasn’t had any hit songs after Steve Perry’s departure. The biggest hit by Bad English was written by Diane Warren.
No I only listen to Steve Perry. Arnel is a great guy. But you can't do better than him. That song always gives me goose bumps. Journey has a big collection of songs. I can't say there's not one I don't like or can I pick a favorite. There are so many other of their songs you could react to but with just Steve Perry
I still get goosebumps, from the first time I heard it on the Escape album and in the movie Heavy Metal in 1981. They got bigger hearing it LIVE in the stands way back in May 1982 sitting in the audience at Byrne Arena. Honestly you can't compare the two, they both do very well. Some groups make a decision when someone leaves a band, or passes away, to either continue on or call it quits. Nirvana and Led Zeppelin quit playing, but Bands like AC/DC, Journey and Queen wanted to keep playing and basically said we're not replacing anyone, we just want to make music.
I grew up when Perry and Journey were topping the charts and filling stadiums. I think Perry is one , if not THE best voice ever ! He could rock out but when it came time for a ballad no one could compare.
Steve Perry has such an Incredible voice. He is one of the Best all time male vocalist rock singers. I am waiting for a new Daneliya Tuleshova reaction, please. Thank You
Forget about Angel pined version, coz not even close to steve, but please react to this other song from the same live "Mother Father", coz here the voice of Steve is incredible amazing, trust me. Ronny
Floor Jansen wasn’t a cover singer hired to imitate the original singer, so that comparison isn’t correct to what happened in Journey because Arnel Pineda was imitating Steve Perry and was hired to keep that original Steve Perry sound due to the resurgence of the band’s popularity when The Sopranos used DSB in its finale and Glee covered 5 songs.
Only amateurs compare Steve Perry to Arnel Pineda. Arnel keeps the band touring but he’s just trying to sound like Perry and he doesn’t really sound like him anyway.
Arnel Pineda is very good but as you can tell (I think it's even very obvious in your reaction here) he doesn't even come close to Steve Perry. Arnel has a very good voice and he's very enthusiastic and energetic on stage, but Steve makes you FEEL the song, the music, and the lyrics.
That's precisely the point. Steve sang from the soul. Arnel is good. But imitation of his idol just isn't the same. It lacks the deep emotion Steve sang with.
you can enjoy this one to : the original group 'Journey ' tittle , Don't Stop Believing , live 1981 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VcjzHMhBtf0.html
Please react to the live version of "Don´t stop believin" from their live show in Houston. I love the version with Steve Perry, no aggresivness towards the new singer. Steve is the best singer!!!!
Written by Steve Perry and Jonathan Cain. Produced by the late Kevin Elson and late Mike Stone. In the movies Heavy Metal and Last American Virgin. Great ballad! 1 of the best singing efforts of Steve Perry in Journey! The album Escape closed with a hit ballad! 2 years later, True did that for Spandau Ballet! 🇬🇧 In 1980, Jonathan Cain was in The Babys . He wrote a piano instrumental. He showed it to lead singer John Waite. He rejected it! The Babys broke up. Meanwhile, keyboardist Greg Rolie retired. JC auditioned. Journey hired him. JC showed the instrumental to Steve Perry. He liked it and wrote the lyrics. The instrumental became Open Arms! Backlash! Neal Schon hated to play it! Steve Perry was going to beat him up if NS was not going to have it in the Escape album! What about John Waite? 3 years later, he wrote Missing You with country music songwriter Charles Sanford (who wrote for Stevie Nicks) and Mark Leonard. JW ain't missing Open Arms at all! LL In 1987, Journey broke up. JC and JW reunited. They brought Ricky Phillips, Deen Castronovo and Neal Schon to form Bad English. 🇬🇧🇺🇸. Unfortunately, their last album was released 31 years ago. They broke up. But JW got hits as a solo artist again , and Journey reunited. But Steve Perry left again. Suggested Bad English music video Straight to Your Heart. Suggested John Waite music video Missing You. RIP Kevin Elson, Mike Stone, ex Journey manager Herbie Herbert, a few months ago. He reunites with Bill Graham, since his fatal accident, Oct 1991, after watching Huey Lewis, for another Journey.
Me alegra ver tu reacción al escuchar ,soy una fans. Y es música realizada por músicos de corazón y alma . Yo lo baile y disfrute con amigo y me enamoré ,.🇨🇱
That was the music I grew up with, and no auto tune, so all singers, even rock, had to be a legend to really sing. I am sorry but with dis loving kids like Angelina Jordan, who missed 3/4 of her notes, it's a shame they get signed before someone like Daneliya who songs on pitch. So many of you younger generations have no clue who can really sing these days with most using autotune. Rant over.
