2:16 There is a difference between Sati and Jauhar. Sati was a social evil in India where a woman was immolated when her husband died but Jauhar is very different. Jauhar was performed when the Rajput men lost the battle and the Rajput women chose death over humiliation, because the invaders would capture the women and make them their sex slaves. Entertainment should always be an entertainment! Review of movie Padmavat Having watched the movie Padmavat six times so far, my excitement level is still same for the film. If we analyze it technically or review the movie in detail then there could be plenty of aspects. The first and for most; reason will be its one and only Director Mr. Bhansali whose work has deep worth in the Indian film industry. I have seen almost all the films of Sanjay Leela Bhansali weather it was 1942 A Love Story, Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Black, Devdaas, Guzaarish, Bajirao Mastani or Padmavt. All are classics and must watch along with family. If we talk, merely about Padmavat, that is an epic period drama of 13th century and is brilliantly done from the perspective of direction, performances, script writing, music composition, cinematography and its technical aspects including editing. Being a member of Muslim commune I don’t have any issue with content depicted in the three hours long movie, in spite, feel regret over history. How Alludin’s character is portrayed in the movie should not be concern as a viewer I take it as Ranvir’s one of the best performance so far. Simply; rulers who tried to invade others land is never sensible.

History of SUB-CONTINENT is known best to those who dwell here and documented it. Until 1947, there was a big number of people who played a huge part in shaping (or reducing/reshaping) sze of India. YOu should actually ask those people first as they are responsible for bringing about the biggest change in history of India, they reshaped it forever and were able to do so because they understood India to the depths enough o know where to trigger the change and how to bring it to its fruition (in 1947). Wow. some interesting movie analysis going on here. The guy is pretty cool about the movie than the girl. she may be movie critic but the guy knows history very well . I like the way she presented her view though. Superb ! I want to put my views on her comment on Deepika's character in the movie. She said she is an artist herself so, She must understand that Deepika's character was just the way the script demands. It was a historical event and women at that time were weak. But she was a warrior herself and the movie also showed her intelligence the way she rescued the king. In my view she was not week but a bold person , who took the step of Sati , because a Rajput women considers dying a matter of pride than being defiled by an enemy , and every women even in Pakistan would also agree to it. Dying was not an easy decision to take when you are completely surrounded by enemy. She could have escaped the palace herself leaving the other women behind but she choosed Sati. Deepika has done complete justice to the role. It's just a story and It doesn't have any negative impact on today's Indian society . Indian audience consider both priyanka and deepika equally talented in their work and we should admire them for what they are. I would love to hear if anyone has any different thought about it.
