Also not just moving you’re feet, but he also does a cris over step on the first step which helps him cover bit more ground to get across goal. Very crucial. Not every time you will have to use it. But on here it useful, because the guys are shooting from a far distance, if they were closer like they did previously, then just the shuffle step.

Another good thing to focus on is how stable in steps, movements and forms that Ben reacted to all the shots. This is something that RU-vid or social media goalkeepers could hardly showed. They might be able to dive high or produce good camera show-offs, but they could possibly do it once in ten shots, all they need are simply the video anyway. But every saves are crucial for pros. What really distinguishes between amateur and pros is not how fancy the movements are or how bizarre their training looks like, is about the stability in performance. Pros always present the optimal solutions to the shots, not for fancy camera angle but for simply keeping more shots out of goal. This is what I stressed most in my coaching lecture or seminar for young coaches, be useful and practical first, and then think about the variations, not the other way around.
