Well i don't think anyone should feel like crawling in a hole and dying. I think every person GOD created on this earth has some attractive thing about them. The worker at the book store was extremely shallow and really does not know what he missed out on. "Everything that looks good isn't always good for you ",my mother always says so the young man that was turned down by the pretty bpy was more than likely better off. That shallow guy will find that every hunk aint always good .. believe you me.

Amari is the best friend everyone needs. He is 100% supportive of trying to help Carlos be brave. It's not easy, especially when you're shy, have low self-esteem, or any doubts about who you are asking out. The fact that Amari helped Carlos to just get it out there was awesome. It's even amazing that he was supportive with the result. This was a beautiful story. Seriously, this short story was well played and so relatable to many of us who have felt this way or been in this situation on all fronts.

It just reminds me of texting my friend who moved across the country that I had a crush on a coworker. She told me to go for it and update her on my next break. I have terrible self esteem, awful social anxiety, and a bad habit of overthinking things. Safe to say, I drew the courage to ask him out, and I was very fortunate he was very sweet when he said he had a girlfriend and profusely apologized. It actually made me feel better to get it off my chest and I was able to work the rest of the day a little lighter. It sucked, but I remember saying “you never know until you try, right?” He agreed and wished me a good rest of my day. He still smiled and greeted me every day afterwards, no awkwardness. Sometimes you just have to go for it. It’ll make you feel so much better when you do, and you never truly know until you try

This is the stuff I’m always trying to explain to my straight friends! Not only is it hard for anyone to go up to some one they like but when you like the same gender you have to run the risk of them not even being gay and getting insulted or worse potentially violent! Making you feel like a weirdo! Lol!!! The gay world is defo hard to navigate especially when your from the hood! Lol but nice to see there’s hope out there! Good short film and great topic! Guess we all go through it! X

Top of the line movie!!! Writing, acting, editing. And sound, which seems to be the biggest pitfall in so many YT gay-themed movies. The smile I had throughout was because, how many of us have Been There Done That? Or just been there and didn't do that? Thank goodness for Ari! I wondered if the guy was going to figure out if he was being stalked, and (politely) confront Carlos. No matter, I'm bookmarking this one to watch again and tell friends to watch, too.

Very well acted. ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜 This is soo cute! 😊😊😊 But it feels also sooo familiar, that atmosphere of shyness, awkwardness and anxiety when not knowing how to handle it, how to take that final step. And indeed the "You are not my type" is in a way great here, because it actually moves us back to the most important point in the story: that eventually he overcame all his anxiety by taking the actual step. 👍 And of course after all this he finally met another guy. 👌😊

It's difficult to ask people out. Especially since we have a culture of "swiping" to acquire instant dates. But for the rest of us who don't look like models, sometimes we still actually have to approach people. If a straight guy gets hit on by a dude, his first reaction is gonna be "Thanks for the interest, but get out of my face before I punch you in yours". Women are more likely to report harassment, but men are more likely to fight. When's the last time you heard of a guy claiming harassment from another man?

Carlos and Alex are definitely a more realistic match. The other guy was hot but obviously out of his league. I can totally relate to Carlos's anxiety as a young, gay man in the 90's, it was practically impossible to approach guys whose orientation was uncertain and ask for a date. And a lot of the hot ones who were hot were not dating material/in the closet. Times have definitely changed (for the better).
