That would definitely motivate me to scratch everything off lol ‘Reading books about books’ made me laugh: that’s how I discovered Borges lol 😊 You know what’s crazy, I haven’t read Kite Runner? Definitely have to do that. I was thrilled to find Jamaica Kincaid’s ‘My Garden Book’ in a local thrift store, and I need more … she’s been on my TBR for ages! And I agree: I read 100 Years of Solitude some years ago, and I was like Holyyy … Wow. There are some passages I’ll never forget.
The Kite Runner’s rave reviews are well-deserved, in my opinion. Now I’ll have to look up My Garden Book. I didn’t know she’d written a book about her garden. And I think 100 Years of Solitude is one of those books I should reread sometime. It’s been too long since I read it.
