Reader Rabbit's Reading 2 Full Walkthrough Reader Rabbit's Reading 2, formerly known as Reader Rabbit 2, is a game created by The Learning Company in 1997. It's the Windows CD version of the old Reader Rabbit 2.
i used to play this when i was probably 3-9y.o. Im almost 30 now. A memory travel back to those precious times now gone. Thank you so much for this, I could cry. ♥
Thank you so much for doing a walkthrough of this game. This is actually one of those games that I couldn't beat to the end, so I was really wanting to know what the end was. This was especially considering the version I had featured this and the 2nd Reader Rabbit Journey (w/ imagination as its theme). It's not bad in my opinion, now that I look at it, and is actually a bit separate from the latter. For me, I couldn't get past Vowel Pond because I couldn't understand it and Match Patch because it took too long. I actually did things out of order, starting with Alphabet Dance because I thought it was the easiest.
My local school used to own the 1996 version of this game, Reader Rabbit 2, when I was 5 years old. And my parents accidentally bought me this version to play at home, not realising I basically had the exact same game at school. So this was my first exposure to "remakes" in a way. So comparing parts like the tutorial at 40:42 to the same thing in the 1996 version, it's no wonder I turned out as an animation enthusiast who loves art and music. I always thought the version my parents bought me was so much better. I thought the one the school had was a bootleg or something. The things that taught me how to read were subliminally showing me how big of a difference good art and music can make to a piece of media.
Omg. I remember playing this. It was originally my brothers... but my grandpop still had the 1997 computer in the early 2000's, so I got to play it. If memory serves correctly, I remeber having a lot of fun with it. :)
Match Patch 1:55:43 and the Alphabet Dance 2:55:41 are both favorite parts of the Reader Rabbit's Reading 2 PC Game that I loved playing on the computer at school when I was just a kid.
Pewdiepie did a gameplay of Jumpstart 1st grade, so I started digging around to find some old games I used to play. It brought me here, where all my supressed memories of creepy farm animals has come to die
My mom maintenances a couple gateway computers back in like 99-2000 for me and my brother PCs back in like kindergarten, 1st grade to go crazy thru a bunch of these games. Oh man it almost makes me cry. The memories are so pure! 😢 holds up pretty well for a game of that era in my opinion
1:17 POP(Program Options Pad): How you doing, people? I’m POP, your program options pad! I’ll be around to help you out when you need me! We’ve got a lot to do in Wordville today, but first, how about signing in? Or you can continue with the game you’ve already started!
The last of the 90's edutainment games that I was hunting for, I couldn't remember the title of this one. I remember playing this in kindergarten, on IBM Aptiva desktops. I only remember that detail because my dad was used by the school to scrap old computers. We'd get our pick of all the old towers, crt's, mice and keyboards that were destined for recycling; that would be the personal computer of my sister and I for our early years. We felt like we were living large, even if the harddrives would die and lose all our data about every 6 months haha.
"formerly known as Reader Rabbit 2, is a game created by The Learning Company in 1997" Maybe you should clarify that Reader Rabbit 2 came out in 1991.. and the remake with a CD came out in 1997. That is a confusing sentence, I remembered RR2 coming out when I was very young, only like 5 or 6 years old, so yeah.
Thanks to Code Blue for Autism, I know that Chill is not just about social skills; it’s also about having fun. Most of all, though, it’s about finding your tribe!
I used to play this with this other game that had like an anteater singing in the jungle? Like you click it and it sings? And a jaguar/leopard was there as well. I can't remember if it was like a bonus of this game. There was also something about some tumbleweed somewhere. I remember a desert section and a jungle section. I think there was more. If anyone knows what I'm talking about pleaseeee let me know
I wished u can send it to me. I'm not sure if the DOS version is freeware/abandonware and it would b really nice 2 get 2 see it again, especially for a playthrough here on RU-vid.
I think I remember seeing something like this in school only it had a caterpillar and remember there was a game about a drummer a train a frog and a farmer the rest I don’t remember
I rememeber when I was in 3rd grade my mom got this game for my brother and well I played it to for the fuck of it. I remember writing on one of the billboards, "babs is a bitch bastard", and my brother asked my mom what it said when he was playing later and I got into some trouble for that one.
