I've noticed that players who started playing 1-2 years ago compare the game now to the game when they first started/became star rider. Sso has existed for 10 years now, if you started 2 years ago all those previously released quests will line up pretty quickly, so you won't have to wait for updates to get quests, it's easy to level up and the story line quests also line up. Then they hit the level 20/21 and say the game has changed because the quests don't come get released as fast but in my experience we've(the older players) always had to wait. I've been playing for 6/7ish years now, and i remember waiting really long for the main story quests as well. I think a lot of "newer" players forget this as they had the ability to play all those previously released quests and now they actually have to experience the time it takes to actually create all of those main story quests, side quests, new horses etc. Also, it is being made perfectly clear in the beginning the full game isn't free and neither are horses. You don't have to buy sc, wait 2 months and you can buy a horse with the sc you've saved. It might not be as convenient as buying it, but as a parent you are responsible for the amount of money you put in a game, they don't force you
Most of these parents are not thinking when they put reviews, they’re letting their daughters buy horses without a hesitation when they ask for star coins and think it’s okay to complain about it once they have made their own decision to agree with the payment with how much it is. I for one can agree to owning a new horse as soon as it comes out is challenging when you wanna take care of your own horses and train it to level 15, I’ve experienced Atleast 3 months without a horse no complaining the least these people can do is be patient with letting their daughters level up a horse, or not spoil them so fast Star stable does release horses quickly most of the times, they did clearly not state the fact you had to buy them as soon as they come out ^^
I buy my own star rider/star coins and as a 11 year old I wait and don’t buy more than the amount a get a month and even though every two months I pay 20 dollars I find it worth it
If your a parent then its your responsibility to not let them buy stuff without hesitation / permission tbh. And i will never see the problem with a lot of horses, its a horsegame and their goal is probably to have as much alternatives as possible because again - its a horse game!! no one forces anyone to buy them all. And for the game in general - games will cost!! most if not pretty much all games too, they need their paychecks and cant work for free! love ur vids btw
I don't understand why people are complaining about the prices! Every other game on desktop that's good cost the same! Not to mention they don't offer 100 in game currency every week (if your star rider) or updates every Wednesday and most other pc games don't have a non-star rider YOU HAVE TO PAY ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. And let's be honest star stable are trying their best give them a break! Also if your playing for a year and have no quests left with the highest level and high leveled horses sorry but it means your rushing instead of enjoying the game! Also there is plenty of other things to do like have a conversation with other players and roleplay or do championships! And to be honest I have never encountered somebody rude in my 3 year expeirience!
Me, Being a non-starrider can understand where alot of them are coming from, And how expensive the lifetime is, At the moment it's at around $70, But it's still cheaper than a monthly subscription, The monthly is $8.99, And that totals to over $100 dollars a YEAR! So, I wouldn't complain about just getting the lifetime, It's alot cheaper, Especially if you lose interest for a few months, You won't have to pay for something your not playing. So, Yeah.
I have only spent $75 on star stable because I have star rider. But I just save my star coins. In real life you have to pay thousands of dollars for horses. I have a thoroughbred in the game from a year ago and he is still my favorite! Love your videos they are great
Exactly, I’m very content with my horses and gear that I have, and the only money I’ve paid was for life time star rider. The game doesn’t force you to pay money to get things.
Honestly, just buy lifetime. Yes it’s $60+ (CAD). That’s right around the same cost of games on Nintendo switch, PS4/PS5, Xbox, other online games etc. Yes, horses and some clothing cost star coins. That’s no different than literally every other game with skins and upgrades. It costs a LOT to run an online game like SSO and this is how they fund that and pay all of their employees. Not to mention, these games that are equally as expensive typically DO NOT offer weekly updates! Note: I know not everyone can afford lifetime or their parents won’t buy it. My point is it actually doesn’t cost any more than other games you likely already have. I’ve been playing SSO since it first came out. Lately, I do find the quest lines dry and wish for more at level 20. However.. the game has amazing graphics, over 300+ quests, over 200 horses, regular updates, large map with plenty of room to still grow, lots of fun side quests and activities (such as spiders, stars, photos etc), and really good lore and storylines. Since I’m bored at level 20, I made a second account and started as a newb again. The quests and dialogue have changed a bit since 2011 and I’m absolutely falling in love with the game all over again. I feel like people are way too harsh on star stable. It’s somewhat more pricey compared to other horse games, but, I still have yet to see another horse game that even closely compares in gameplay and quality.
Plus if you buy lifetime it’s actually cheaper because you buy it once and never again. But if you buy limited time packs then it will actually cost more cuz the child will want it again
I think the “bots” were the npc around the game like in the beginning of the game in moorland with Sabine and her magic horse/fresian, it advertises a fancy horse when your on your starter horse and it makes you want to buy a cool fancy horse and spend money on it, but at the same time it’s just because of lag and the new bodies, etc. plus having a new cool horse instead of a starter horse like ours convinces children to play, I had my little cousin play on brand new alt and she saw the cool “horsie” as she would call it and said she liked it and I told her she had to work for it (i’ll buy the star coins for it when the time comes) and it inspired her to keep playing the game and have dedication, so although it may seem like a huge advertisement, which it is an advertisement, its also to show what can happen if you work gor things (at least thats what I figured out from playing on my alt) anyways I went on a tangent but have a nice day, night, or whatever time it is for you!
Guys what if we just stop paying for star rider. Think abt it, if no one pays, they'd have to lower the price or remove it, or perhaps add a one time payment like 30 bucks. I'm sick of paying 10 bucks a month for it, we're eating from the palms of their greedy hands.
Well I did the pay once superscription in star stable only I am there every day so I raise up on star coins every weak and do daily things also train my horses. For the too many horse in the game I only buy the ones I like wisely until they fill my stable so I don't have to buy every horse in the game and not be over whelmed also for training
A great review done well. As for those complaining about having to purchase the horses when they come out every two weeks,no one is twisting their arm to do so. I am a parent who plays SSO as I started along with my now adult children back in 2013. I am currently at level 21 and own a lot of horses with my character but I only spent what I wanted to(purchasing the Star rider lifetime was the best I could have done for myself and for my children) The have their own account each but no longer play so I play every so often when I can. Getting the Lifetime means I get 100 star stable coins every week so I allow them to build up overtime and then if I want to purchase another horse(usually a special one) I use those. I haven't spent any money on this game though in years.
wooow, i've been playing SSO since it came out and after i've probably spent around $300 total and that's ONLY because I payed monthly for about 2 years before buying lifetime. I've never bought star coins and I own like 3 pages of horses in my stables, plus I have the stable hand take care of my horses most the time. These parents need to just get their kid lifetime when it's on sale then tell them to WAIT to get the horses they want until they save up from the weekly 100 star coins. If these parents only knew how generous that was compared to most games that make you pay monthly and don't give you any premium currency for free ever.
xP it’s obvious they don’t know much about sso like “bot” they are npc’s. But it’s kind of their fault buying so much star coins, but I do agree with so many horses I hope they slow down the process of making horses like maybe every other month.
I’m only about the horses I literally don’t even do half the quests I only do quests if I want a pacific horse and I would probably spend $200 on star coins if I have the money
because it take a lot of money, and kids being kids want a horse game and get horses. alas sso is one of a kind in its level, other games are offten awkward in quality
As a player that once payed for a monthly subscription I can tell you how the subscription works. For example if you were to get the 3 month subscription there would be an option that you could select saying ‘renew automatically’ that option would obviously, renew your membership automatically. The parent probably selected that choice with out knowing, even then there is a button in settings that says ‘end subscription ’ which would not allow you to pay for the subscription any longer until it ends
Speaking as an adult, these parents are in for a rude awakening it they ever look at other MMOs.... Also you know as an adult to never save your payment details. If you removed it or never saved your payment info, I would double check if your child didn't upload it again and then pretends that it's SSO's fault.
these parents really annoy me, im sorry, this is a HORSE GAME and horses in real life are REALLLYYY expensive and the new birthday horse came out for FREE, sso is trying there best to make you happy! and you should be glad horses in sso arent the price of irl horses (irl means in real life by the way)
Now looking back at this I just wanna say this. I got lifetime star rider last year. I saw that I would get 100 sc (star coins) every Saturday. Now I’m not spoilt so what I do is I save them. It doesn’t mean that you have to get sc every time a horse comes out. So the children who ask their parents (I’m a child, but Ik that I should be grateful for what I have) for sc, they shouldn’t they should just ask for sc on their birthday on Christmas etc. Edit: plus saving up means you can have time to train your horses
i agree with being a non star rider it is boring i wish that they can soon do free star rider code for mental health month or something because i really love quest and its sad when i cant do quests or experience new things and new lands.

Me too. I got Star Rider last year though but I also played for so long without Star Rider. I don't know what I did on it for so long even tho I had no more quests I could do. I probably just jumped off cliffs or something
One time, There was a bot on my server and we all went hay-wire. People were screaming in global and saying ''HACKER THERES A HACKER ON THE SERVER'' it was funny, but I also got chased by them 0.0 The bot was finishing races in 00.1 seconds. Fun times!
For the payment methods as long as you hit don’t save card information it dose not save it. I have to put it in every time I get star coins. Also adults need to watch their kids when they are purchasing stuff.
If my mom would let me buy sc from my own pocket money would have more sc. But she says no and that I should use it for smth I want more. But I don't need clothes or anything. I think the bots are the people that give you the challenges and my rating of the game it’s 5 out of 5 and funny because it’s been like a year since I played so now I don’t remember what to do😂😂 And it used to be the only game I would play I would play it all day everyday😂😂😂
Honestly, I would leave a bad review too. If Star Stable is going to make players pay for Star coins with real money, they should just make the game free! Or, they should make Star coins earn able. I think it is straight up stupid of them to make players play extra. The game is 70 dollars for gods sake! We shouldn’t be paying any more.

I was playing before I could read my mom had to read for me and seeing the new updates makes me sad but I love it and I think starstable is taking advantage of being one of the best horse games out there as it’s the most realistic one by making it cost so much but idk I am broke and wanna buy a Arabian and can’t cause I only have 7 dollars after I spend five :(

I’ve seen 2 bots in game, you can tell as in global there tag is green and normally starts with game master what ever their name is, they also work for sso not a machine

i can agree with the fact that sso overprices the game, but it costs time etc. to make the quests and other things. they should probably give us atleast 200sc week because you need to wait 2-3 months to get one horse...its sad and i have to say that if they keep doing this. sso will no longer be child game...i would rate sso 3-4 stars because theyre going CRAZY with releasing horses! like theres festival with 3 new horses and theyre planning if its true to release officially paso finos in 1-2 weeks....
One person in sso thought I was a bot bc I had a great horse (the anthea) and a great outfit that matches my horse and my hair and makeup also matched LOL I've seen a hacker before though she was a speed hacker and came from another server her username in my server was Maja Hater and she said that her username in the server I think Night Star was Cynthia Ponypie lol
When I canceled my 1 month membership is didn't took any money later and I agree with most of them it's such an expensive game like whyyy and they bring only horses every time and now every horse means new briddles why don't they make an update to make the game better instead of oh yeah horses
Because they can do what they want i personally like that they make new horses often or recreate the old ones every game is expensive but nobody is forcing you to buy anything so if you don’t like it don’t buy it and don’t complain if you do buy it

I only buy star coins on double star coins weekends and save them, and I only buy other horse thats new if I have leveled up at least 3 horse's to level 15. 😀😁

I'm awfully late, but can someone help me out? On my birthday i'll be able to pay for either star rider or star coins. As said before im new, so my free star rider ran out. According to these reviews it said that if you pay with your credit card they'll still get you to pay? I want access to the whole map because I finished all my current quests in fort pinta and moorland. I'll be using a gift card, however im still scared. I dont know if i should buy star coins or star rider...Im afraid they still charge me. I currently have a level 10 horse on the app, hes the app exclusive horse. I think he costs 749 and I only have 51 star coins. If I buy the star coins I'll still be bored with no quests, not even side quests, and if i buy star rider im afraid they'll charge me, even when the membership ran out. I do have to say I am a bit disappointed in SSO. For them to have a huge map with a tons of places to go to and non SR's only have access to 2 places, yes thats unfair. I got bored of star stable in a week because of the lack of quests. The only side quests I have left are in places i cant get to. Such as Silverglade and Steve's farm. So I have to agree with the parents, non star riders should be able to get to Silverglade, Steve's Farm and a few other places.
