READING CRAZY KOTLC CONFESSIONS! 😆 Reading Keeper of the Lost Cities Confessions #7!

Anyone else see the Stellarlune cover and not know it was Marella? Her hair literally went from blonde to red 😂 Also, I totally agree with the comment about Foxfire. If its really a prestigious school, how is everyone in it?? I would really love if Shannon gave some more explanation on that. If you guys have any explanations, I'd love to hear them :)

I know this is a super hot take, but I loved the Sokeefe slander in this video. Right off the bat I want to say that I don't not ship them and I don't have a problem with people who do. This is my opinion, but please allow me to explain. I personally don't think that they should get together. I know the whole fandom loves Keefe and I get it, but him and Sophie getting together is just a horrible idea. Keefe said multiple times in Stellarlune that he was a mess, and Sophie just kinda brushed it off, BUT ITS TRUE! Keefe just has so much going on, and he clearly is not in a good mental space. Ever since the end of Neverseen, I haven't been able to ship the two of them. Even beyond running off to join the Neverseen, Keefe is constantly doing things that ultimately hurt Sophie. Even when she specifically tells him not too! Keefe is clearly struggling, but refuses to get help, or even to admit he has a problem for most of the series. He always just resorts to saying "I'm fine" and moving on. He is super impulsive and gets by constantly making horrible choices by promising to make up for his mistakes. (which he usually fails to do and Sophie just forgives him anyway.) Again with the piping hot take here, I feel like this ship only looks as good as it does because Sophitz lowers the bar six feet underground where it's grave lies. Sokeefe easily flies over said bar by walking on flat ground when the bare minimum is floating ten feet over its head. The whole Sokeefe ship relies on the "I can fix him trope" which just bothers me so much. Like no, Sophie, you can't fix him. And even if you could, ITS NOT YOUR JOB. Keefe pretty much entirely relies on Sophie for any sort of happiness or at times any tether to reality. Keefe is barley holding on by a thread and Sophie is that thread. And that kind of dependance in a relationship is toxic, because eventually the thread will break. Sophie even says in the books that she feels like she is the only thing keeping Keefe together, which I feel I must reiterate is NOT HER JOB. The emotional strain of single-handedly holding Keefe together is absolutely horrible for Sophie. And then you have to go and pile on everything else that Sophie has to deal with on a daily basis. With everything going on in her life Sophie has very few people whose only agenda is to support Sophie. With the exception of Edaline and Elwin pretty much everyone Sophie talks to is in some way pulling her into chaos in order to win the war with the Neverseen. Sophie's support system is so mixed up with the Neverseen drama that emotional support is often lacking in favor of tactical support. Sophie is in no state to be supporting Keefe in the way he needs, because she can barley support herself. ***Side Note: I am not trying to say that none of the characters have Sophie's best interest at heart. I am simply pointing out that there is an extra layer of strain that is added to her relationships when that person is also involved in the war, which naturally most of the characters are. Also, Sophie herself often prioritizes tactical support over emotional support form the people offering. But that really just goes to show where her priorities lie. Clearly winning the war is more important to Sophie than being emotionally stable. Not a great choice, but nonetheless it is the choice she makes time and time again. That's why I loved seeing Edaline forcing her to make time for herself in Stellarlune! Realistically, I would love to see Sokeefe get together after they both receive extensive therapy and the entire world isn't burning to the ground around them. Because at the end of the day, in an isolated senario I do love these two, but they both need help. And the help they need, they are not getting from clinging to each other. All in all, my true wish for this ship just won't happen because it kinda requires the series to be over, so until then I will continue not shipping Sokeefe. JUST friends.. so when Sophie confessed that she kissed keefe I felt terrible for fitz. he didn't even get angry, he was just sad. like imagine trying to make things work and then your crush tells you she just kissed your best friend. yikes lol but yeah sokeefe for the win

I hate that everyone hates Fitz so much😭😭 I get he's done some stupid stuff and I will not deny I wanted to shove him in a ditch full of snakes a few times in Stellarlune but then again I want to do that with most KotLC characters 💀 they all have their moments i hope Fitz becomes better by the last KotLC book, sometimes I feel like everyone hates Fitz just because they ship Sokeefe sometimes. I personally don't ship either anymore and I'm just peacefully waiting for the end of KotLC.

The confession about reading the cliffhanger first reminded me of how when i first read flashback i was trying to show my brother what page i was on ( ? I forgot why ) but when he grabbed the book from me the pages flipped to the last page right before the acknowledgements and i saw the cliffhanger 💔 its funny how most of these confessions are really relatable

I can understand not knowing Keefe crush on Sophie in like really early books but by Flashback idk how they overlooked it :/

Guys, this is very random, but while reading Stellarlune I listened to the song "Message in a Bottle" by Taylor Swift and NO WAY its SOO accurate to the book y'all have to listen to it for yourselves and you'll see what I mean

I still haven’t finished stellarlune but I decided to watch this anyway 💀 And I used to do the thing were I would read the end of the book before starting the book, but I learnt my lesson because once I read that a dog dies at the end of the book and I cried. I didn’t even know how the dog was important and I didn’t know any of the characters but I cried. So I’m never doing that again 😭

One thing that is kiiiinda unrelated- if foxfire is such a good school, according to Fitz, then why was everyone there? Dex was there too, despite being of “lower” class.

When I first read the series did not know dex had a crush on Sophie kiss in nightfall I also never knew that fitz had a crush on Sophie I was so suprised when they confessed in flashback and I had no idea that keefe had a crush on Sophie until unlocked I’m so oblivious

Personally i hate it when there is a love triangle because one character always gets left behind. don't get me wrong i think sophie and keefe deserve each other but i can't help but want Fitz to find someone you know? maybe this is me being naive but i can't fully ship sokeefe knowing that Fitz was left in the dust. also i know Fitz ended being super annoying and it feels like a character assassination cuz Fitz wasn't like that in earlier book.
