READING FOR 24 HOURS! 

Every time I watch a Jesse video, I want to pick up a freaking book .

This would be me in the challenge… read for 1 and a half hours, fall asleep and wake up… it’s dark “mate what happened… I was supposed to…” fall asleep again. Read one page… fall asleep… eat something and read for another 2 hours. Collapse.

I actually go really often to the library ( without grabbing a new book) to study there since the atmosphere is so much better than at home :)

Shadowhunter series is so intimidating because of all of the books in it!! Plus they are all pretty big too. I do like the cover of Chain of Thorns though. This is how i disappear also has a pretty cover.

This was honestly my perfect day. I thought the whole Boba/Park/Lunch montage was most of the day. Nearly dropped my phone at the "less than 3 hours" reveal 🤣 My suggestion for the next one, though maybe outside your usual genres, is Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers. Beautiful novella, quick read, but also one that really makes you think about a lot of things. Hopefully next one is nothing but 5-star reads!

Ooh you need to read Queen of Air and Darkness. It’s so great! Definitely my favorite of The Dark Artifices.

I found the Cirque Du Freak series addicting and easy to read and pick up the next book as it was a smooth continuation of plot in my memory. Awesome series!

Loved the video! I always enjoy these 24 hour reading marathons, it does not diminish the enjoyment if, in the end, you end up being successful or not, honestly, so please don't pressure yourself too much. Do what you like, we're here for it anyway! I just love your energy, the vlogs and your comments on how the reading is going and the overall thoughts on the books. I've added One Cup at a Time to my tbr, it sounds nice!

I gave Chain of Thorns 3 stars because of the reused plot lines, miscommunication, and the lack of grief. The majority of the series was wasted on a romantic plot line that we all knew would not be end game. She said she changed the ending because it was too sad…ma’am I wouldn’t have cared less (and neither would the characters evidently) if everyone died 💀

You should do the once upon a broken heart series for a 24 hour readathon.

I really need to reread The Dark Artifices since this one explained a couple things. But I really like this trilogy mainly cuz of Will and Tessa.

As far as a trilogy recommendation...I'd say Broken Earth, Regenades or City of Brass unless you have read all those already. For something a little lighter but equally as important try The manga for Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. The box set would make for a great 24 hr read-a-thon and is food for your heart!

A book I would recommend would be Falling From Grace by Jane Godwin. I remember reading it when I was younger. The beginning is slow but the more I read the more I enjoyed it.

maybe the Montague siblings trilogy? they're not exactly short but they're fast-paced and fun, queer historical adventure/road trip vibes with some romance and a bit of magical realism, great characters, funny.

May I recommend you the Hell's Library trilogy by AJ Hackwith? It's about a realm within Hell filled with writers' forgotten stories. (Best way to discribe it without revealing too much) The characters are wonderful and the books are roughly 380 pages long, perfect for a 24 readathon 😊

I read chain of thorns and less than 24 hours i start to read it at the book store before I even bought it feeling rush it's big big problem with stand-alone and trilogies because problems have to be solved within the so many pages

I actually liked Chain of Iron too. It didn't stand up to all other Cassandra Clare books but I didn't hate it. But Chain of thorns just...I dnf-ed it TWICE. I want to give it ONE more chance but I just am not excited for it. I guess I want to love it so badly because I do care for Cordelia and Matthew. Maybe not James but I do care about Lucy, Magnus, Jesse and all the other side characters. I want to love it badly. I think this is my cue to actually read the book and see if I like it.

I agree the chain of thorns series isn't the best, I tried reading the first book of the trilogy and I gave up on in pretty quickly since it didn't hold my interest for very long and I couldn't focus on it.

agree with the shadowhunter stuff i read chain of gold and chain of iron some months ago and i enjoyed em but idk they drag and are long and i feel nothin much happens and sometimes annoyin frustating stuff happens i did preorder a bunch of chain of thorns editions and bookish boxes lol even tho like u said it aint my fav series i dont have any other special editions of her other books besides lady midnight and lord of shadows anniversary editions with white covers i think and ive dust jackets for tmi and tid and the last hours. i want dust jackets for the dark artifices too. i think ive city of bones special edition comin in the mail, and i hope i can somehow preorder the sequel (now that book depository is over idk where ill preorder it) i also have tmi and dark artifices brazilian editions comin soon in mail hopefully. i also have that bookish box from illumicrate soo prettyyy. and hopin to get the fairyloot last hours set in may. i need to read chain of thorns but im finishing the cruel prince series which i loveeeee (just need to read the novella and stolen heir) and then ill read chain of thorns or court of silver flames. agreee they can be frustating and spit out what u need to say but then some moments and line are like briliant :3
