The whole "we need to have an open discussion and get past the pain of the past" was because he came forward with ideas basically suggesting that people stop race baiting and blaming everything on 400 year old slavery. He got outright slammed for suggesting such an idea leading towards him figuring out that its a subject for which open discussion isn't possible in America. So asking people to love each other, to get past the past, and talking about "unsettle pain" was him continuing to suggest people stop saying everything in the world is racist because of 1700s slavery. When I saw this video I assumed those tweets were the precise reason why you made it. Either way I feel he is entirely justified in sending those, and of course everyone got in a shitfit over it all.

In all seriousness though, the core message of some of Kanye‘s public activity in the past few weeks is quite a good and important one. If people would spread it in a less „out there“ way instead of making fun of him we might would see some progress.
I unironically enjoiyed this. His tweets are meaningful. I don't really know him, or what he represents. But I can say I agree with his tweets, it sounds like things I would tweet.
