34:49 I've always imagined that the idea was supposed to be that the Ultimate Imposter is so good at what they do that their weight can be entirely different to the person they're pretending to be and yet they still manage to fool people on pure charisma alone
i mean, it works! people who aren't spoiled usually fall for it - we're given no reason to believe they AREN'T byakuya, and they're close enough to him in demeanour and personality that we just accept any physical differences as "well, we don't know how long it's been, or what's happened between games"
Regarding the idea of being bound to talents, this isn’t something we have to deal with in the United States because we have a lot more cultural freedom, but in Japan the idea that if you have talent you’re bound to it hits harder because of cultural pressure to be successful. There’s less emphasis on doing what you want for individuality and more pressure to succeed for the sake of the country or the family unit. Basically if you’re good at something to the point you can make money from it, you’re forced to try to be successful with it regardless of whether you actually like it or not because of cultural pressure to succeed.
I do agree the writing in this game has uh..... Varying quality. If someone asked me my thoughts on Danganronpa, I would say it's not very good due to its many faults but it's my favourite trash series.
