Hi Jennifer! Thanks, this was an interesting article. I certainly hope that the electric car revolution is realistic. It still costs more than "traditional" cars but it has some assets: it's more environmental-friendly and has cheaper mileage. Battery technology is also getting better and better little by little. Electric cars are clearly making a breakthrough also in Europe. Some money-related idioms: 1) Pour money down the drain=money that is wasted unnecessarily, 2) Money burns a hole in your pocket=one is very eager to spend money, 3) Spend money like water=spend money wastefully, 4) Fool and his money are soon parted=foolish people spend money without thinking.

All topics for learning English are here! The best, then the era of smart electricity cars, explain the topic and read the written text! Thanks very much.
Hi 👋 jennifer, thankyou for your informative presentation. It's really perfect way to learn English. I really enjoy your teaching. I am from india and yes india is giving exemption in tax and extra incentives to people to buy electric vehicles. I can see one electric vehicle out of 20vehicles on the road of major cities in India.
in my country (jordan)the third world 4out of nine vehicles is electric vehicle I think when you have electric or internal combustion engine vehicles it's not releat what level of your country type around the world Any one around the world now can have culture or value or modern..civilization from the global because the world now is a small village I look forward to have more lessons from you Jennifer because you made me perfect english although I'm not native❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

No doubt about that! I really enjoyed watching and listening to your attractive presentation! With regards to using electrical vehicles in my country I do not know if anyone has this type of cars. I only see and heard about them in the media. My respected teacher thank you so much ❤️

Hello, Jennifer😊 Thank you so much for an opportunity to think about the latest issue. In terms of clean energy, electric vehicles are an ideal, yet in reality, it's optimistic. In Japan electric vehicles still account for less than 10% of the total number of cars on the roads. They are still too expensive for ordinary people to buy with no tax exemption or other incentives from the government. I think it's impossible to phase out the use of gas-driven vehicles in less than 30 years in Japan. Also, I doubt if electric vehicles are the only sustainable solution in terms of energy resources.🤔
@@JForrestEnglish The truth is, I live in a town. Possibly there are several electric cars in the main cities of the country but I have not been able to see them.
The biggest problem for those who live in old historic centers in Italy is having a box for recharging the batteries. However, the sales of hybrid cars, with both internal combustion engines and electric motors, are increasing.
Jenny nice clase de ingles learning vocabulary, structure sentence, listening, pronunciation I'd like Ferrari Porsche matzerrari y te miras pretty! en tu clase de ingles
Thanks Jennifer for your another highly- anticipated lesson. I feel overly optimistic about my learning progress since I am watching alll your resources thank for throwing time into the creation of resources. I feel like a dog with two tails. My neighboring country is Colombia, It abuts on Peru :( The term comes from Columbus (Christopher Columbus) for this reason the misspelling. Fortunately, the world is phasing out the use of gas- driven it is a groundbreaking innovation and it will be an effect of environment.
Oh thank you for sharing that! We also have "British Columbia" in Canada. And there's a very popular clothing store called "Columbus". So it's easy for us to forget it's COLOMBIA ;)
"Yet" is a coordinating conjunction. Could we put it at the beginning of a sentence ? 😗 Thanks. If we are "optimistic" enough, the chance of becoming "realistic" will be great !
I have a frustrating experience. Not knowing where to begin or hitting a plateau can feel demoralizing and make it hard to hit the books and study like you know you should…Having friends from other cultures makes me more creative. In fresh ways about space and how people create their own world and environment. It is best way to connect between creative thinking and cross-cultural relationships.
I"m optimistic with Electric Vehicle, though i haven't see it in my country yet😅 I think its price must be so much so much expensive. Specialy for common people at the growing country like mine😁 However, i think, in using whatever type of source, whether elictrical resource, gas or diesel, or any type of source we must always carefull, wise, doesn't just using and taking without thinking how its impact, and also how to make all those sources keep preserved.
I think tomorrow we will see more and more of electric vechils becauce of better to human and envirement to usuing electric vechels insted of gaz but there is examption that ia policy and leedrs of the world and ploticals ampiton
Exactly like you, I drive a gas powered car, or more precisely a diesel car, but because of the new laws over here in Europe, I'll have to buy an electric car in a couple of years because my diesel car won't be allowed in most bigger cities anymore ... It's a shame because it so happens that I am rather a car guy, I mean that I like to drive, and electric cars are just boring to drive..
@@JForrestEnglish Yes, it's one of those European oddities. In the late 70's our policymakers decided to promote diesel cars because diesel engines drank less than gas engines. As a result, as high as 75% or more of all personal cars were diesel powered ten years ago, a bit less today.... and 0% in 10 or 20 years. The times are changing...
