i don't think it's just your "blah blah blah", though! in addition to your voice being very soothing, this channel has a comforting and welcoming energy, it does feel like this is a safe space, positive vibes only. you're always talking about positive stuff, and you are very kind and creative. you have a special way to approaching the most difficult and sensitive subjects, too! i don't get that from younger ASMRtists or even male asmrtists, to be honest.
This is my favorite!!! So many ASMR artists don’t show themselves while reading and it adds so much to the experience for me. The elementary school librarian reading to us gave me so many tingles as a child way before I knew what ASMR was. Thanks for this!!!
I completely agree with what people have said about your channel, it's a place to go to unwind at the end of the day for the many weary souls out there. Just wanted you to know, if only one more time, just how much we all grew to love and appreciate your voice and your charming personality! Please continue with your videos, we look forward to them always! Many thanks, Jeannie!
Hello I'm Eli and I love your videos. I'm a born and raised Phoenician. The valley heat is no joke. I'm autistic and when I get stressed at work I listen to you and it keeps me from having a melt down. You are so positive and warm. Thank you
I never realized that the name for people from Phoenix is Phoenician, so for a second I thought you were saying you were a member of the ancient Mediterranean civilization that gave us an early version of our alphabet and fought the Greeks.
@secretforreddit my mom gets irritated when I say I'm a Phoenician because within Phoenix I'm from Tempe. I don't like how Tempean sounds and my mom said I can't use Tempest 😕.
Just wanted to say congrats for reaching 100K! Your videos are so simple, and that‘s what makes them so great! It‘s so great to just tune out at the end of the day and listen to you ramble about whatever. Makes me feel cozy like nothing else.
My childhood book was Blueberries for Sal and when I could read chapter books it was the Little House on the Prairie series. Great video would love to see more!!
Every time I see an upload from you, I always get very excited. You are by far my favorite Asmrist , you soft spoken voice and the story telling or vintage magazine are always my favorite, keep up the amazing work. Much love from all the way from the tiny island of Malta 🇲🇹 ❤️
That would be the best! I do have a little children’s book I’ve written. Wrote it years ago and it’s only ‘home published’. It’s got a cute message behind it, a bit of a self esteem message. That wouldn’t be copywrite because it’s not been published and it’s just a silly little book that lives in my garage that I show my friends’ kids. Alternatively you could find someone else with something like that. I love you so much. I’ve been watching now for a few weeks and you help me so much. I lost my mum in October and my grandma in February. I now have no grandparents left and nobody older I can look up to. I feel very alone and abandoned. I already had issues prior to losing them. Childhood trauma stuff. I wish I knew you in real life but it’s nice to pretend you know me and care about me.
My sister lives in a condo and when she just moved in, she put all her wet clothes on her balcony on chairs etc to dry....until I came over and reminded her of her HOA contract and how she can't do that😂😂😂 I've been sick with pneumonia for 3 weeks so I haven't been watching you much. Congrats on the move and I hope it doesnt take you all long for it to become home❤❤❤
Oh no! I hope you get well soon! I’m glad our dryer gets converted tomorrow! I can’t imagine it would be a good thing if my underwear got picked up by a breeze and headed out to the golf course!! Lol!
I adore the children’s classics! I loved Frog and Toad, The Cat in the Hat and many of the Little Golden Books. But it was The Secret Garden that made me fall in love with reading when I was 10. Currently reading Stuart Little to my two youngest kids, planning to read the Little House series with them next 😊
Yes! You have to be careful with perfumes, lotions and makeup. I keep my skincare in a minifidge at home. I always keep beauty products on me in travel. High temperatures will ruin them.
I would LOVE a series where you read books, any kind of books! I’m a literature major so books are my comfort zone. And your whisper voice is so amazing. Every time I’m feeling anxious or overwhelmed or just down in the dumps. But I put on one of your videos and I’m immediately relaxing and going into a zen state. One of my favorite childhood books was called “Dr. Dan the Band-Aid Man” haha
I discovered you very recently by chance but I am a fan of your warm and welcoming relaxing ASMR videos…..I travel a lot and find myself in hotel rooms alone and turning on your videos is like having a friend there with me while I fall asleep. You have such a lovely voice, smile and disposition it is such a pleasure to watch you. Thanks
Welcome! And thank you for your kind words. I remember traveling for work and being in a hotel room alone. I’m glad the videos help make it less lonely. ♥️
Hello, Jeannie, so happy to see you🌻🌻🌻 My first book was Daniel Defoe’s Robinson Cruso, l really loved Jules Verne’s adventure books, Lord of the Rings❤️ and obviously Harry Potter. It’s so heartwarming to share your favourite books, they tell so much about the person☺️
Here in Buenos Aires it’s very rare to have enough space in your apartment for a dryer, so it’s quite common to hang your clothes on a foldable drying rack 😂 - I sometimes leave the rack inside the apartment and it still works, even in the winter. You could probably dry your clothes on a foldable rack in the living room and it’ll all be dry within a couple of hours. Additionally it’s more eco-friendly so you can always say that 🌞
Yes - I had a rack before and didn’t pack it when we moved. I have a very small one in the laundry room but I do want another one for outside. In Germany, it’s the same - no dryer and rack only. Here on golf courses when your backyard shares the space/view, that’s the only restriction. ❤
The timing of this video is amazing. I was just casually scrolling through asmr videos and one of your videos popped up on my feed and I loved it right away. I was going through your channel and as I was you uploaded this brand new video 😅
I remember Dick and Jane, and not being able to read, and got held back in the first grade. Not long after, the book "You will go to the Moon" was a favorite of mine, and the dream just like you! I was 14 when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon. What an exciting time that was!!
When I was learning to read in the mid 70's in the UK we had very similar books with the characters of Dick and Dora (children) and Nip and Fluff (dog and cat). They were published by Ladybird books who still make children's books today. I have worked in a Uk library for 30 years and for many years now the main learning to read scheme has been Oxford Reading Tree with Biff, Chip and Kipper as child characters and Floppy the dog. We are currently in the middle of our annual summer reading challenge which aims to keep children reading through the summer holidays. We usually get close to 1,000 children signed up to it in our library so it's good to see so many young children still enjoying books and stories. 😊
I always have loved your videos. Your are the best your voice is so relaxing! I haven't been watching asmr for a few weeks I have been really busy, but I love that I am back and I love seeing your videos again!! Have a great day jeannie!
I dont know if I missed that video, but can you make a video-ramble about the reasons you decided to move and how do you like the new area? if you feel like doing it of course!
When I need a mental health boost I listen to books I loved to read as a kid on audiobook like the Ramona books and the henry books form Beverly cleary and to fudge books from Judy blume.
The first book I ever read by myself was called 'Little Black Goes to the Circus'. I was obsessed with horses. What little girl isnt at some point? 😂 My favorite tho, was called 'The Pink Elephant with Golden Spots'.
Growing up there was a kids author from Mennonite Brethren Publishers that lived in my town. I adored her and her books were wholesome. They were based on her family's immigration and settlement. I'm not Mennonite but they were amazing books along the lines of Little House from the Mennonite POV.
Mike Mulligan and his steam shovel Mary Ann was a fun book way back in the day. I remember Captain Kangaroo reading it on his show. Thank you for today, I listened all the way through. Mike in Oregon
Wow I remember that book and your voice sound so beautiful reading it I love it I want to show my sister she’ll remember too lol 😂 thank you set a cute shirt you have on I think I said might’ve said that already I’m not sure in an earlier comment I’ll say it again lol love and light love and light
Oh my god, thanks for the nostalgia jeannie!🙈 I am curious as to where you get your old books, do you keep them or buy them for ebay etc... 🤔 I would love to get some myself 😊
I'm curious as to why you aren't allowed clothes lines, isn't it your private garden? Can they make aesthetic demands of residents' private properties? I'm sorry if that is a weird question but where I'm from it's just super common to hang your clothes outside to dry and whatever you do in your garden is your thing🤷
Great question! Some communities, such as gated communities that have a golf course as a back yard have restrictions like that…to keep everything aesthetically nice. We knew this coming into this community so are good with it. I will still do some outside drying on an area behind a screen that will prevent the golfers from seeing my undies flapping in the wind! 🧺
Hello jannie 👋 You look different!🤔😅 I"m exited ti watch the video, but i will do it tomorrow because its kate here,as you know. Hope your well, and hope everyone else is well too 🌺🍀
Hanging out your laundry to dry is the environmental way to manage your laundry… it’s not a reason to feel uncomfortable. Hopefully everyone around you would use the dry weather to help save our planet, even on a golf course (which to itself is bad for the environment of course 😢)
