I have The God of Endings on my Kindle. It's been there a while, but I haven't felt drawn to it yet. I appreciated hearing your thoughts about it. I definitely don't feel compelled to get to it soon - especially if it tells rather than shows. "On Slide Inn Road" is one of my favorites from King's You Like It Darker. He definitely channels the Southern Gothic/Flannery O' Connor vibes in that story. The banana bread looks delicious. Great video!
That’s a bummer about The God of Endings! The Passion According to G.H was too weird for me 🙈 It made me wonder if she’s an author for me… I’m curious to try The Hour of the Star. (I hadn’t heard about The Pillow Book, I definitely added it to my wtr list!) ❤
Ha, I’ll have to try The Passion According to GH and you’ll have to try The Hour of the Star to decide if she works for either of us! I love social history so I found The Pillow Book fascinating! Hope you enjoy it if you get to it eventually 😊
@@karlalikestoread i love it too!!! My favorite thing when reading history is learning the everyday stuff! I love diaries and correspondence ❤️ Haha yes we’ll have to try her out and see 😆
Please regard this as a compliment. You are my replacement, Jennifer Brooks, who sadly passed this year & was an awesome booktuber & read books of personal interest to herself .🩶 Hello from Aotearoa. 🌏
Jennifer was very new to me when I learned of her passing and it was heartbreaking to hear. That is a kind compliment, but of course I could never replace her in any way. If you enjoy my videos regardless then that would make me very happy. Thank you for your comment ❤
