your channel beautifully shows why long form content is so amazing. i’m really happy you’re loving the stormlight archive!! it’s definitely my favorite ongoing series
I’m so glad you loved words of radiance. I loved WOR so much. Can’t wait for you to get to book 3! You’re channel lightens up my day! Also the novella is not that necessary, but I love the characters they follow, so I think their worth it but you can jump right into Oathbringer!
i'm so happy you're finally getting to read words of radiance! I hope you have a great 2023 and reach 50k subs bc you deserve it! you definitely help me be inspired to read more chunky books.
Katie I love your videos so much , I’ve been binging them all day while trying to finish my art course work and a new vid has just made my day ! Love from the uk !! ❤️❤️
I'm so glad you're loving this series this much! Words of Radiance is definitely my favorite in the series so this vlog gave me life haha Kaladin is def my favorite POV and in retrospect I love Way of Kings so so much for all the work it does with the character, but WoR still wins out for me with how many amazing moments it has (also it's still a great book for Kaladin and it cemented Adolin as one of my favorite characters, I mean, his duel?? sitting in jail for Kal?? I love him) You're good without reading the novellas, there will just be a couple of moments in both Oathbringer and Rhythm of War where you'll know you're missing something, but nothing that will keep you from understanding what's happening. That being said, I hated Lift's interlude but enjoyed Edgedancer well enough and it definitely made me like her! It's a cute, quick and fun story (also Wyndle is my favorite spren after Syl so I enjoyed getting more from him). Dawnshard though (the novella after Oathbringer) I actually really like!! Very much worth the read, imo, especially if you're interested in the Cosmere at large. Sanderson did great character work and crafted a very intriguing plot with that one.
i’m so glad i’m loving it too!! totally feel the same way as you, i love that way of kings is kaladin centered but words of radiance just really did something for me as far as all of the povs are concerned (i also loved when we found out adolin was sitting in jail as well😭), also thank you for the info as far as the novellas go! i think i’m going to read both of them because i love the series so much i need all of the content that i can get!
love your reading vlogs katie. i really liked lore olympus, the writing was a bit too easy for my taste, but the whole world is created nicely. i cannot wait to read the volume two
Great vlog! I read all of Mistborn Era 2 in December. Which made me start re-reading Mistborn Era 1 this month. After that I’ll move on to Way of Kings etc etc. it’s those characters that keep you going page after page after page after page. I’m glad to hear there’s humor in Stormlight Archives. Mistborn Era 2 cracked me up so many times.
OMG! I'm so happy you're reading the Stormlight Archives! I only have two people in my life who read but they don't read adult fantasy so I never get to rave about the series with someone. Words of Radiance absolutely blew my mind and it was my fave read of 2022. Great vlog as always!
Hi Katie! Happy New Year! 🎉 I just finished clockwork prince and I absolutely loved it!!! I definitely need to get into clockwork princess, but I’m actually also in the middle of the cruel prince and I have been loving that also - it’s so good! I love your vids so much and you are just so inspiring! 🥰❤️
happy new year to you as well!!☺️ i’m so glad you’re loving the infernal devices!! clockwork prince is my fav so i’m glad you loved it ;) the cruel prince is also so fun!! so i’m glad you’re loving that as well! thank you🥺🥺🖤
Looking forward to hear what you think of the rest of the series. It becomes so much bigger after the second book. Sanderson is a true master of his craft indeed. Oathbringer is my personal favorite. Great vlog too btw.😁
happy new year to you as well!!☺️💙 i definitly highly recommend checking out some sanderson! i haven’t personally read it, but if you want something shorter by him i hear really good things about his mistborn series!!
ahhh i’m so excited for this vid!! 🤭🤭🤭 i got my husband to subscribe and watch too bc of this exact book! brandon sanderson is my husband’s absolute favorite author! 🤭
Katie I'm so proud of you for finally finishing that book haha! The series honestly sounds pretty interesting but the sheer thickness of *every* single one of the books scares me 😶
i have refused to start this series for so long because it looks daunting but you definitely have made me intrigued to pick it up. hopefully, you do pick up HOSAB because I would love to see your reaction! crescent city is definitely one of my favorite series ever! loved this vloggg
once you get into the series and start loving the characters the length is a plus in my opinion? but i was also very intimidated when i first saw them haha! i actually plan of reading hosab in january/february and i am very interested to see what i think of it as well, also thank you!!🖤
Hey, Katie!!! Happy New Year!!! I really enjoyed A Dowry Of Blood. It was really good. I hope you enjoy it whenever you get a chance to read it. Vampire books are the best. Great reading vlog. Take care😊😊😊
I need to read oathbringer here soon, but I need to reread the way of kings and the 2nd one. I am glad that you finished the 2nd book... I have some of this author's books on my 23 books to read in 2023
good luck with your reread!!😭 i’m was scared i was going to have to reread way of kings myself before i read words of radiance but thankfully everything still made sense to me haha
Hi new to your channel and I love what I have seen so far. Very much a Brandon Sanderson fan. Will be reading Words of Radiance sometime in the next 2 months. Wanted to know where you got your tabs? Love the colors.
I’ve had the first one on my shelf for a few months now! Feel like I need to read it next! I am trying to work through Under the Dome by Stephen King which is like 1,400 pages so might need a break after this one tho 😅
I went to that hardcover sale too. Definitely worth it! Got Belladonna, Namesake (book 2 of Fable, unfortunately Saint was sold out but its okay😭) Defend the Dawn and The Stolen Heir B&N limited edition by Holly Black 🖤🖤🖤 I honestly was shocked they had some left. The store was almost cleared out completely on the books I was hoping to get. I should've gotten there way earlier that morning 😂 but still so grateful I went! As for book 2 of that SJM series, it was really good I thought. I dont wish to spoil anything but I highly suggest you read it soon....definitely worth reading 😉☕
unfortunately i steal most of it from my mom so i don’t have any specifics for you :( she’s a big scrapbooker so i use her collection all the time haha
Yes, for sure. It has tie-ins with other books but for now I would say they're just easter eggs and you can still understand everything from Stormlight without the rest. But Stormlight is usually said to be Sanderson's best series so far so you may feel a dip in quality if you start there (or not, obviously there are people who prefer different books of his, but it's something to be aware of)
you'll probably won't like House of Sky and Breath but it makes sense since it's kind of connecting the whole sjm universe. but this book didn't make any sense and it was just dragged out
